That interview almost brought a tear to my eye. Just the passion that Hickman talks about FF with. Whoever ends up replacing him has HUGE shoes to fill.

As much as I've enjoyed Hickman's run on the title I think his long form story telling reads much better in a collected edition. This form of decompression storytelling that took him 3 years to conclude one storyline is one of the things that I dislike about modern comics. Really look forward to how he ends his run on the title as it's been really fun to follow, I just wish the pace was faster. It hasn't stopped me from enjoying his work, it just makes me re-read prior issues before reading the latest issue.

What a great run. Not exactly going to be easy to follow up on.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

Good to see we're getting more art from Garney.
I'll be sad to see Hickman go, but better that he leave too soon than too late. Yeah, the next person has big shoes to fill, but that's part of the overall comic book adventure.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!
If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

Id love to see PAD replace him. Nothing against Hickmans writing but I like the FF to be a bit more fun than it's been. Imagine it will be Dan Slott though and nothing wrong with that.
That being said the guy managed to keep a second Fantastic Four book afloat so good for him.
So I'm assuming with AvX ending in September there will be a farewell month in October? Or will the 'big changes' begin in October?
Didnt Bendis say he had some farewell issues planned but I guess that could come in September.
I love how he claims that "I think the most important things we did was leave the franchise in better shape than when we started". Not only was that accomplished it is my personal favourite comic(s) at Marvel.
That would be my worst case scanario. I can't stand the way he wrote them in the ASM post-Johnny's death issue. His Valeria was particularly awful. Like something out of Dickens (or Melrose Place?). Sue sounded like a 60's housewife and Reed like he stepped out of Father Knows Best. Terrible. I have every single issue of the book and I would drop it like a bag of dirt if Slott got the title.
I like that Hickman's leaving Dom in charg eof the Parliament of Dooms and leaving the next writer to go from there. I hope they play with the concept rather than just brush it aside. It's a fantastic way to leave the character. Though I'm sad we won't have any more Doom/Val scenes under Hickman's pen.
Schmitty's Evil Twin.
Well, I'd like it more if it was him who is doing the Parliament of Dooms, because right now we don't even know if the next writer will be any good. For all we know he will be fan of full evil villain Doom similar to how Mark Waid portrayed him and any relationship between Val and Victor will be explained as him brainwashing her.
So he won't get to do Parliament of Dooms because Joe Quesada.
Screw Joe Quesada.

FINALLY a confirmation on where the upcoming T'CHalla two parter is ending up at...and it's BEFORE Avengers vs X-men.
Nice to see Hickman confirming where that storyline's ending up.
All leading into the breakup marriage between Storm and T'challa much closer, and if it ends up in the pages of Avengers vs X-men, then count me a happy man.![]()
I will miss Hickman's FF/Fan4. With the possible exception of the "Reed's dead, Kristoff's a member, oh hai Hyperstorm" years with DeFalco (which probably gets points via nostalgia goggles), his run is my favorite. He truly did the idea of an adventuring family of science heroes justice.
