Is it just me or have DC and Marvel gotten a little crossover crazy in the past year?

Not that it's that big a deal but it's just that so many of these books didn't even make a year before crossing over.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

Totally awesome! I was already excited but each interview makes me even more excited! And now we know Paco's scarab is known as "Blood Beetle." This book just keeps getting better and people need to come back on!

Hope the Reach don't cause too much calamity to the BLC. This arc is going to be insane and looking forward to Agent Orange reverting back to his original menacing self.

Agree, but all these crossovers DC has published during the last months are pretty small and tight. I mean, Marvel will make big every crossover she will publish. Take "Exiled" for instance. DC on the other hand will make them small in scale and will not affect many characters. That's why I prefer DC for events and crossovers. They can have big or small scale (whatever the story needs to shine), tight story and lasting consequences.

but DC has the court of owl which is taking all but one bat family book and one edge title
while the example you have given(exiled) has a one shot, and two titles that the writer has been building up since the siege event

I love hearing this kind of news. I'm excited to see Blue Beetle interact with other DC heroes, especially the Lanterns, because there is history with them.

Oh yeah, Blue Beetle in one of my favorites. A really fun book that's about to get more fun.
    I seriously miss Captain Mar-Vell.

I can't agree with that. The earlier Spider-man/Daredevil crossover was two issues, and the current Omega Effect crossover is three.

I have no problem with 2 issue crossovers. It just shows how integrated things are in a shared universe. Doesn't hurt that I'm following both books involved. If it can help out Blue Beetle in any way, that'll be great. This doesn't need to turn into a Marvel vs DC debate. Both companies will continue to do it until sales tell them not to. That's why there are less minis and less event tie-ins.

I personally LOVE the smaller cross overs, especially when I am already pulling both titles. Most of the small cross-overs seem much more organic. Less editorial interference I think.

Yeah...ever since they turned Blue Beetle in to a much darker tone book...Not so much of a fan of the DC New 52 Blue Beetle as I was of the old one.

The only books you really need to read for Court of Owls are Batman and maybe Nightwing. That's it.
