Let's see: Kang, Ultron, Imortus, Masters of Evil, The Space Phantom, The Zodiac, The Formor, Proctor and the Gatherers, The Collector, The Grand Master, The Scarlet Centurion, Alkhema, The Supreme Inteligence, Nebula, Chiton, the Lethal Legion, Grim Reaper, Pagan, Lord Templar, etc...and those are just counting Villains that were created to be AVENGERS foes, not including those that are intrinsically linked to one of it's members such as the Olympians to Hercules or Loki to Thor, or Red Skull to Cap, or Thanos who, although debuted fighting Iron Man and the Thing, and went on to become a big bad for Captain Marvel, in a saga that guest-stared the Avengers, has faced the Avengers many times and is thought as an Avengers foe, such as many others, like Morgana le Fey, the Kree, Maelstorm and others.
Sure, the X-Men have quite a lot of villains (Magneto, Sabretooth, The Brotherhood of Evil - if you start to dismember those, you'll have to do the same for the various incarnations of the MoE and the LL, and that sort of doubles the Avengers list - The Brood, The Shiar and the Imperial Guard, Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse, the Hellfire Club, etc.. ), but can they really compete? And aren't most of them already X-Men?
By the way, good call on that Dolph Lundgren film, as well as on the others. I had tottaly forgotten about it.
