Yea, but we like to wait until after 5pm.
My Heroes For Hire: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, The Falcon, Ant-Man (Scott Lang). White Tiger IV and Powerman would be interns.

Sure, the X-Men have quite a lot of villains (Magneto, Sabretooth, The Brotherhood of Evil - if you start to dismember those, you'll have to do the same for the various incarnations of the MoE and the LL, and that sort of doubles the Avengers list - The Brood, The Shiar and the Imperial Guard, Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse, the Hellfire Club, etc.. ), but can they really compete? And aren't most of them already X-Men?

By the way, good call on that Dolph Lundgren film, as well as on the others. I had tottaly forgotten about it.

    Peace
Loki, Thanos and Ultron are great villains but they arent even on Magneto's doorstep in terms of popularity. Magneto has literally carried the entire movie X-franchise by himself.

And Id take 2nd tier x-villains like Juggernaut, Apocalypse, Sinister over the best Hulk, Cap and IM has to offer.

As for the question at hand, of course. The amount of money and marketing that has gone into the Avengers franchise over the last 6-5 years is insane. It's not a question of which property is superior because that is, for the most part, totally subjective(i obviously personally think the X-Franchise is vastly superior, always has, always will be. But that's just me) it's about where most of the money is spent, and that has clearly been with The Avengers.

Is it really that hard to approach this with reason, logic and common sense for some of you?
At one point Superman was bigger then batman...this same thing. Right now the Avengers are bigger. Not sure what Fox is going to do, but a reboot might be in order.

I'm sorry, what? Explain why the movie he headlined (and Wolverine didn't star in) was the least successful of the 5 films.

Give it a few years until the next Marvel films roll around and let's talk about Thanos and popularity.

haha good point. But Cyke just got completely dissed in the movies. He should have had a scene like what Cap did in Avengers.

you mean "purple wrinkly chinned hulk?" an earth-based threat will always have the edge. no one cares about aliens; especially non-humanoid looking aliens.

because of the 4 films that tainted their image beforehand. and having to share billing with a blue muppet and a bunch of kids. take out the kids and you have a really effing good movie. Kevin Bacon killed it as well.

Thanos is humanoid. And he's a bit more than a purple wrinkly chinned Hulk. He's like Dr Doom, Dr Strange and Hulk combined and amped up a few notches.

And let's wait and see. He's a great character with good motivations. Doesn't matter if he's an alien, you ground the character with a more human personality and people will connect to him. That's the Marvel way from it's inception. No matter how outlandish and fantastical, it's always about the more human and relatable side. Plus he can solo the Avengers on his own, audiences love a bad ass.

Your just making my point for me: A film with NO Wolverine, Jean, Cyclops, Storm, Ian Mckellan....

And Magneto's presence alone was still enough to beat DCs Green Lantern.

The only other VILLAIN who could pull something off like that is probably Joker.

yes. yes you do. otherwise, you'd just be wondering who all these freaks are.

because you read comic books. to the general public, he's Hulk with a wrinkly face. and i don't think it's smart to compare him to doom. movie-doom was an embarrassment. Strange hasn't appeared on screen either. what you're left with is basically, alien bad guy. and he's about as humanoid as the multi-armed guy from the Mortal Kombat movie.

The mark has a good point.

The X-Men movies were terrible, that's why. I have to agree with you on these points.

Nope, I highly disagree. You're so wrong you couolldn't find right.
