My number one choice for a Justice League ongoing would be Darwyn Cooke (writing and drawing, with fills by Dave Bullock or Chris Samnee if he needs it) or Walt Simonson (also writing and drawing, I don't know who would do the fill-ins, but as long as we get mostly Simonson, I'd be happy). I don't see a chance of this happening, considering these writers don't exactly fit the feel of what the DCnU JL is about...

Jeff Parker is also a good writer though, so I'd check out the book if he took over after Johns (kind of depends on who was drawing though).

He wrote the JLA vs Crime Syndicate of Amerika storyline.

He wrote a Crime Syndicate JLA story (which incorporated elements of the JLA/Avengers crossover, which was pretty cool). And, yeah, I very much agree; Busiek would be a great fit.

This has no shot of ever happening, but I wouldn't mind seeing Jason Aaron take a crack at Justice League.

Maybe Robinson, for me. Grant's already had his turn with the title, and I prefer to see someone who is either new or has worked on the book for a good long while.

It would certainly be better than Robinson's last run, but I still don't think a book like JL suits his strengths. I think he's happier writing Justice Society anyway.

I agree, he seems to have a better understanding of the JSA than he does Justice League.

while i hope Johns and Lee stay on the book for at least 25 issues, i also would love to see Busiek write Justice League.

How about anyone. It just seems rather lackluster at this point. Not the biggest Johns fan, but he has done some good stuff. Liked his run on tirans a few years ago, so this was rather dissapointing. Not bad by any, means, just not what i thought it could, have been. I just figured, with his rep, amd Lees art, this one would have been HUGE. Oh well.

Gail Simone, for a 12 issue arc focusing on Wonder Woman, Mera, and Element Woman. With guest appearances from Vixen and Batwoman.

Villains include: Giganta, Lady Styxx, and Female Furies.

Well that is now my number one choice.

I was going to say Paul Cornell as I think he would do a pretty good job with the team. Morrison would be a healthy choice that I would certainly read but he had his run and I doubt that it would be as effective the second go around. Busiek or Giffen would be great as well.

Outside of the current DC pool, I would pick Mark Waid or Jonathan Hickman they are two of the best at Marvel right now. I am completely confused at the suggestions of Hine and Milligan as I would prefer them on something like Justice League Dark, Storm Watch or as strange as it may be taking the reigns of GL from Johns.

Now that I think about it I guess I'd rather these writers on books I actually care about.
