And throughout it all, Wolverine (Avengers) will be fighting Wolverine (X-Men). They'll both be wearing the same costume, and will never be seen on panel with each other, but every few pages you'll see a Wolverine being thrown into someone/something, with a new set of claw marks on him, or you see someone on either side shout "Get away from Logan!" then blast/smack/thwack the on-screen Logan with some massive attack.

So it's now official - AvX might have a lot of PIS, but AvX: VS. is pure, incarnate PIS. Disgusting, awful PIS. Thing beating Namor underwater levels of PIS. Iron Man "beating" Magneto because Magneto goes into Phoenix-shock levels of PIS. Yeah, that.

I don't really understand how they could say that Namor was beaten. He came out of the water at the exact same time as the Thing and looked just fine.

Oh come on, THAT'S what bothers you? Not that Ben Grimm pinned Namor to the seafloor with two teeth from a big fishie around Subby's neck jammed a few inches into the floor, and Subby (high-end class 100, especially in the water) had trouble pulling them out?

Meh. I've seen dumber things and considering that Namor apparently got out of that on his I didn't really mind it. I did find it funny in an absurdist and stupid way that there was a giant fish-monster swimming around just then.

Bizarrely, today's installment had very little PIS: Wolverine was beating Cap in a fight (doing something people should have been doing for YEARS - don't target the indestructible shield, target the straps...) - the PIS was Giant Man sneaking up on him and slowing him enough to toss him out of a plane.

Actually they were portrayed fairly evenly - both getting in decent shots and being propped up by walls as they continued to square off. Great to see Wolvie target the shield's straps... the crap part about this fight was the sudden character shift with Cap just attacking Logan, then having Giantman boot him off the carrier. It wasn't very Steve-like just like Cyclops being all fanatical in the first issues was out of character. I suspect, and hope, the Phoenix or some other outside force is influencing the heroes.

The Avengers' whole idea is to get Hope off world, have the best scientists like Reed Richards try to find out the connection between her and the Phoenix, and try to save both Hope and the world. All whilst sending a team to try to stop the Phoenix before it even gets to Earth.

The X-Men on the other hand are risking the entire world by wanting to do absolutely nothing, because the Phoenix might, repeat might, help mutants.

Sorry. Whatever happens...Cyclops was asked by cable(from the future) to protect hope from the avengers...because the future depends on it. Cable told cyclops that Hope IS the phoenix...and that the avengers will come for her and that he has to protect her from them.
The avengers are morally wrong for trying to force anything and actually wrong because the guy from the future says so. lol
