Morrison's Emma is the best. Lobdell's and Whedon's are my favorite too.

Personally I found that Emma as villainess was a little cartoonish, so I'm not a big fan of her original portrayal (but still enjoy reading).

I prefer the Emma Frost that lacked any characteristics of Jean Grey.

I started in July 1986 with the X-Men in Japan for Logan's wedding (yes, Logan - not Howlett).
Logan's wedding in Japan where he got left at the alter was in 1983.The Mutant Massacre was in 1986.

it's really not fair to lump Morrison Emma in with Fraction Emma and, as such, I cannot vote as I would like to in this poll. Had Morrison Emma been separated from Current Emma; I would have easily been able to vote for Morrison Emma. As it stands, Fraction Emma should stand entirely on her own anyway since what we've had of Gillen Emma has been a nice return to form for the character somewhat, and that should be noted.

Claremont version, of course; Morrison's is good tho.
The poll made the choice easier, in that regard.

Milligan's Emma for she is as perfect as Cerebro's lapsang souchong. Uberconfident, sexy, with medical expertise and in a steady relationship without Whedonic drama whining.

Following her are Morrison's Brody/Monroe mix, Claremont's BDSM queen, Ellis/Wood cold killer Auntie Emma and Lobdell's sharp on tongue soccer mom.

Exactly, she did not once complain. If she thought she looked old and saggy she took action to fix it.
