Who's the Third Sinner?
As for me, I'm thinking a Fifth Dimensional Imp, though not necessarilly Mxy.
its clearly neither of them
I think he'll lightly be a mix. There were just too many clues in issue 5 and 6 for the him not to be Mxy, yet there was also evidence to he was a devil or demon in issue 6 and 8. I really can't guess what Morrison has planned. I mean the way he played with my expectations with Brainiac, I really don't know.
There's also so many different clues being dropped. What does Clarks land lady have to do with this with a name like that? Is there anything significant to him been a teetotaller? What's with the tie? Why did he tell Clark about the "ghost dog"?
I think it's Mxy but I still feel like Morrison is going in a completely different direction.
I'm a huge Maggin fan, so when I saw that CW Saturn was an option (a possibility that I must confess had not occurred to me before) I jumped at it, especially since I recalled Glenmorgan calling our Teetotaler friend "the devil".
I've always imagined CW Saturn looking a bit more refined, and he's described as a shape-changer where Teetotal is always a short man, but you know what?
The question isn't "who do you think he'll be", it's "who do you want him to be", and CW Saturn seems like a better idea than Mr. Mxyzptlk, who I can never see leading the Anti-Superman Army. Morrison has written Fifth dimensional beings before, and the teetotaler doesn't seem to fit the description of Mxyzptlk.
If I'm actually gonna call who I think it is, I think Teetotal is going to be a new character that Morrison created. After all, what's the problem with that?
Edit: I don't know who the Third Sinner is. Care to explain yourself, OP?
Oh yeah. The Third Sinner was mentioned in the Justice League #7 backup, about Pandora. I forgot about that, since I figured it was a Superman rogue.
I put forward The Third Sinner on the premise that he's aware of what Pandora has done and is trying to use Superman in a way which would enable him to then correct things. The problem he's having, though, is that the very nature and concept of Superman is so strong that the changes he's trying to make don't work out the way he thinks they will.
Take issue 2, for example: although the panel and scene can readily be interpreted to mean that the 'microwave vision' Kal used has messed up the equipment, the fact that it's The Little Man saying 'Nothing works', along with the lettering being smaller (akin to a kind of whisper) allows for the interpretation that, once again, The Little Man's plan isn't working.
In issue 3 he discovers the existence (and 'protection' in some form) of Krypto, watching over Kal.
With issue 5, as a further example, we know that the Anti-Superman Army has been moving through time to find a point where the rocket is vulnerable enough to be accessed and the K-Engine stolen. We know that the Legion members having been hunting them and trying to intervene at their various attempts and that the timeline they're in (the timeline we are privy to) isn't theirs.
The above, however, can also be linked in with CW Saturn (the being I, personally, hope The Little Man to be (or some variation thereof)) but I wanted to toss in The Third Sinner as an alternative as, well, it seemed a little fun ;)
I think it is Mxy or another fifth dimensional imp. I hope it's some omnipotent being that can merge all of Superman's disseparate histories into one so that all of his adventures, from Golden Age to DCnU count somehow. Morrison did it for Batman. It can be done for Superman too. Oh yeah, and put him back in his proper costume (maybe sans the trunks).
Now that I think about it...I'm sure Mxy can do just that if he wanted....

I voted other.
It would be cool if it was Lord Satanus.
Glenmorgen did say the little man was the devil. Speculation on my point though.
In the lead up to, hopefully, more being revealed in the upcoming issue of Action, is Mxy still the strong favourite (or considered 'most likely')?
