Peter x Carol are not even in a romantic relationship. I doubt that it would become a Spider-Man x Black Cat relationship in that sense. If we know that the relationship won't last, why go in that direction? Wouldn't it become a self-fulfilling prophesy? I say, let's enjoy their occasional team-up adventures together than a Hawkeye x Spider-Woman love fest.

Dan Slott has made it very clear that the he will never do a Spider-Man/Peter Parker relationship with a super heroine. And Stephen Wacker has stated that Peter x Carol will not extend their relationship beyond the "Pals" level. This statement comes directly from them as I am not making any of this up!

If Carol is going to have a serious romantic relationship, it's not going to be with Spider-Man.

Well, Pete broke up with her originally cause Cat didn't like Peter Parker, just Spider-Man. From what you've said I'm assuming that they've just altered that slightly to be that Cat didn't want to know who he was.

I didn't really pay attention to the new Black Cat issues of ASM, it just wasn't the Felicia I was used to and interested in.

OMD didn't change any past continuity, except Peter and MJ were "in a committed relationship" instead of "married" and possibly weren't pregnant with baby May. Everything else happened as we knew it.
