How the heck is Mockingbird doing a drop kick that low to the ground?

Also, is anyone else miffed that AVX is taking over WATXM for at least 6 issues?
Currently reading She-Hulk, Deadpool, Swamp Thing, Ms. Marvel

Probation: Ghost Rider, Loki: LoA, Secret Avengers

Looking forward to All-New Ultimates, Flash Gordon and Doctor Mirage.

The weave added to Carol's hair looks ridiculous. She is now rocking a faux-hawk. There was no need to change it as they already said that her hair is not short, just slicked back.

Why do they listen to stupid fans and their whining? (and yes, if you are deciding to not pick up a book because you don't like the character's short hair...you are stupid).

I'm really kind of blown by just how few ongoings Marvel's actually publishing now. It's not too surprising given what generally sells, but I hope they continue to give more properties another chance, and not the same subset of characters who've had multiple opportunities to grab reader interest in the last few years.

Ha! Yes, that was the first thing I saw and thought, huh? It just looks weird now. Oh well, we'll see how long the series lasts. I'm in for #1 certainly.

Mainly miffed because it's a good chance to ruin my favorite book.

Apart from that, a new Hulk tpb from Parker, and something i posted on the pre-order captain marvel thread but:

I think they went out of their way to make the solicits around Captain Marvel as boring as humanly possible. Captain Marvel is a woman! And really powerful! And Captain America shows up in the first issue! READ IT!

    AVENGING SPIDER-MAN #9

    • Spider-Man plummets into action with the star of this month’s hottest new comic: the all new CAPTAIN MARVEL!
    • 50,000 feet up and only on one of them can fly ...
    • Is the World’s Greatest Super Hero Ready for a ride with Earth’s Mightiest Hero?

    CAPTAIN MARVEL #1
KELLY SUE DeCONNICK (w) • DEXTER SOY (a)
    Cover by ED MCGUINNESS
    VARIANT COVER BY ADI GRANOV
ASM 50th Anniversary Variant by Paolo Rivera
    • SHE’S BACK! The “Mightiest” of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!
    • Ace pilot. Legendary Avenger. 100% pure bad-a$$.
    • Carol Danvers has a new name, a new mission ...and all the power she needs to make her life a living hell.
    • Guest starring Captain America.
    32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$2.99

Truly the blandest of the bland.
Currently recommending: Daredevil, Mudman ( it's back!), Hawkguy, and FF. Can't miss!

WatX may be tieing into AvX, but it doesn't look like the book will be overrun with Avengers. I mean we still seem to be getting what you might expect from the book - Kitty on a date, Gladiator visiting his son etc.

I think maybe I would've preferred not knowing that it was going to tie in and just find myself pleasantly surprised when Cap or Hulk showed up.

    Italicized are maybes:
    Avengers Academy 33 -$3
X-Men Legacy 270 + 271 - $9 I'm not feeling this book, and it's very close to being dropped from me.
    Dark Avengers 177 + 178 - $15
    Avenging Spider-Man 9 - $19
Captain America 14 - $23 Depending how this arc goes. If Diamondback is killed early, then no go.
    Journey into Mystery 641 - $26
    Captain Marvel 1 - $29 VERY tempting.
    Daredevil 15 - $32
    X-Factor 239 +240 - $38

Add Birds of Prey, Green Lanterns: New Guardians and Mind the Gap, $47.
If I get Worlds' Finest, $50.

    • The secret history of Warbird!
I thought Carol's history was pretty well known...

    AVENGERS ASSEMBLE #5
Brian Michael Bendis (w) • Mark Bagley (A&C)
    • PLUS: The return of the characters you demanded!
I shudder to think whose return Bendis believes we've demanded. I want a lot of characters back that he killed/destroyed but I certainly don't want him at all involved.

    DARK AVENGERS #177 & 178
I don't normally care about numbering, but it's ludicrous that Dark Avengers is going from 12 to 177, not to mention TBolts getting cancelled again. Dark Avengers is NOT TBolts. Who knows, maybe it really will sell better with Avengers in the name, but TBolts was its own brand.

CAPTAIN AMERICA AND IRON MAN #634
Thank goodness they made Iron Man the "And" character for an arc. You can't find him in any other books. I don't mind a teamup book, but it shouldnt be with characters who already A) have their own solo title and B) who are already teaming up in at least two ongoing team books. Use some of your OTHER characters, Marvel!

    FANTASTIC FOUR ANNUAL #33
Hmm, interesting that they seem to be using what I assume is the actual correct numbering for the annuals. They seemed to have gotten away from that.

Man, Marvel just continues to not put out much that really excites me. Honestly, I could probably just limit myself to AA and SA and not feel like I was missing anything.
