Ten Best Batman Villains since 2000?

One of my favorites is Doctor Gotham from the Shadowpact series; I feel he should be a Batman foe.

He's a warlock who was "buried" in the area that will become Gotham City! Awakened 3000 years later, he names himself Dr. Gotham after city.

He gains his powers from hundreds of mystic artefacts stored in an extra-dimesional space in his cloak. It's suggested that his dark magic may have twisted Gotham and it's inhabitants.

Zeiss' name always amused me...

Sonya Zucco - thought she was handled really well through-out The Black Mirror, hope we see her again

I think Dr. Hurt is #1 by a mile.

James Jr. would be high on my list as well... except I felt like Snyder kind of rushed (or "had to rush") the ending and turned him into a slightly too-typical serial killer. He'd still be in my top 5, though.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Pyg becomes the most well-known recurring villain of this era. He's very reusable in a way that Hurt and James Jr. aren't.

If anything, this post made me realize how strong Batman's recent Rogues gallery is...and post 2000, his new villains are unmatched. Name me 10 Spider-Man, Superman, Flash villains who are great, heck name 3 Iron Man or Aquaman.

Kudos to the Batman writers.
