Well that was kinda my point, she can fly and she's strong enough to life the plane.

Is the point we're bringing up in the Aquaman thread whether or not her can fly? Or if he survived the drop? They were over open water so I assume that he just swam away.

Actually, I read Aquaman (although I don't know for how much longer) but I haven't gone to his threads. I don't know what they're discussing over there... but if I was there the first thing I'd ask after seeing THAT is if he can fly. What surprises me more about this in JL is not even her apparent flying ability, but the fact that they had HER do it rather than Superman. He's usually the one they use to hog up all the good power feats.

Another question I have is, can other Amazons do this? This is brand new continuity, how much power does she have due to daddy?

You could argue that Aquaman is falling and Green Lantern hasn't caught him yet, while Wonder Woman is flying because you can see where she's pushing up under the plane.

But yeah... Carlos D'anda was not paying attention to what he was drawing at all.

Pretty much this. One could also say that Aquaman might be jumping towards GL's disk.

Maybe he had been riding a wave . . . or swimming in air currents?

Or, . . . maybe that was Martian Manhunter, disguised as Aquaman?

(I just bought the issue today, so I haven't read the main story yet . . . just that awful guy-who-use-to-be-called-Captain-Marvel back-up feature, where Geoff Johns is doing his best to destroy Billy Batson as a decent kid and, I guess, trying to make him obnoxious and "realistic" or something else.)

But JL 8 was covering several weeks (there were at least two "One Week Later" boxes in the story) in that one issue. I'm not sure off-hand how much time is passing during the current Wonder Woman story.

I presume the current WW story has only spanned a few days, a week at most. Not that it matters really. If we get into wondering how the timeframe between JL and WW synch up then we may as well ponder how the hell Batman winds up in as many different places, doing different things at supposedly the same time. And madness lies down that path!

I'm going to stick to the camp she can't fly (I hope) even given the evidence in JL #8. According to that issue, Batman is also a teleporter like Nightcrawler. Now you see him, now you don't. He's there, no he's not. Really don't know what the artist was drinking that day.

Call me a troublemaker if you will, but according to that panel, Aquaman can fly, too!

He's not flying. He's in freefall.

Their plane blew up. GL saved them all in "energy bubbles." Then he dropped the bubbles to catch them all on an "energy platform" in the previous panel.
