I like those things, yes...but the current union model is broken IMO...part time workers at a supermarket shouldn't be forced to join a union, I think if you want to join the union great, but you shouldn't be mandated to

it's always good to focus on the small, stupid details when discussing larger, important topics.

Unions don't drive jobs out of anything. Greedy ownership and management that refuse to work with unions take the jobs away. The tail does not wag the dog.

It's not just big evil corporations that don't want to deal with unions....plenty of smaller or local businesses just can't afford them

a buddy of mine, union plumber, got laid off and was out of work for near two years because most every place he applied had posted "not a union shop", he finally had to bite the bullet and take a non union job....granted its less pay, but its better than collecting unemployment and doiing side jobs


I work for a heating oil company in customer service/service dispatch....I make garbage compared to what the drivers and techs make, but I get to hear people call me a thief and a horrible person for the price of heating oil every day
