So after 24 days, I finally had a panic attack today. There are two upsides to it, though:
1) it was far less intense than the usual
And
2) it motivated me to get stuff done.
The bad news for the day:
Things are really tight right now. Popper is not doing well at all. The wife is stressed. My employer is cutting hours. And our old apartment does in fact want money. $228, and they are claiming we had no deposit whatsoever. We're calling bullshit, but it's bothersome. If they had acknowledged our deposit, we'd actually be getting money back.
The good news for the day:
-starting next week, voc rehab should actually be setting up and paying for medications and therapy for the wife and I. Yay!
-the news about work motivated me to go to another location by the same company that's closer to us and pays more. I told them I wanted med aide hours in the overnight and after doing a double-take their General Manager literally responded with the word "Win." apparently she really needs med aides because she wants all overnight workers to be med aides, and I am apparently a godsend. I start training Friday. I'm still gonna keep some shifts at the old place, but closer proximity plus less work for more money(higher base pay and overnight differential, too!) equals yay. I was shocked at how fast and effortless it all was. Why can't everything be this easy?
