So Supergirl goes right from the NY fight to Silver Banshee? This is still set before her appearing in Superman and Superboy, I guess.

If Silver Banshees da is Black Banshee, is her ma White Banshee?

Every time I read some one saying they don't like Perez art, I shake my head in disbelief.

It is super hard for me to understand that point of view. George Perez art on this issue was gorgeous and I wish he would do more.

I also don't think the Sterling Gates issues were lackluster...they were really good in my opinion. This is good too! It's just a little different take on Banshee, they are playing up her sympathetic side.

Part of me wishes DC would just do a Superman book that doesn't have any kind of constraints on it, they just let the talent tell the Superman stories they want to tell. Perez could do a three issue arc, then maybe Ordway would get a chance or Abnett and Lanning or Hickman would do a story or two....just let the talent mix it up with the character. It wouldn't be that much different from doing "imaginary stories" like they did so much in the sixties and a little in the seventies.

I have enjoyed this book the most out of the four Super books.

Like Supergirl is going to submit to anybody. This is not 1940s Wonder Woman...

This was a fantastic book. This whole series has been great, and the fact that she is my number one means nothing...George Perez was like the cream cheese icing on the cake.

Another George Perez issue where Supergirl appears and does not die! Another hundred of them and he'll lose that stigma. Perez's Kara has the cutest chubby cheeks.

I liked this issues Silver Banshee was interesting, she probably teach kara how speak english Wonder Silver Banshee would be friend for Kara or enemy?

As always, the plot and narrative are interesting. The art, while different this issue, is still top-notch. I expect no different from Perez, really. I'm really hoping Silver Banshee continues as she is, though. I don't want her to be a villain. Morally questionable rebellious friend, yes. Outright villain? Not so much.

I do have one thing in the comic that confused me, though. Siobhan mentions that she lives in Queens, which is perfect for two girls like them. I didn't really get her meaning.

Just that they should be treated like royalty. The same mistake Eddie Murphy makes in Coming to America, heh.

Really enjoyed this. I like that she hasn't instantly learned English. Adds to the 'alien-ess' of the character. Nice to see her make another friend too.

i agree. it seems to make more sense to still not have her speaking the language after eight issues. As interesting as Silver Banshee 'suddenly' appeared to be, i'm always thinking Kara's looking over her shoulder for Reign + Co. i have a feeling Reign will return with not only the other Worldkillers, but with other space/alien baddies also to try to take Kara and Siobhan out.

I interpreted it as an innocent joke about both of them being special....better than a couple of princesses, we're queens!

As far as Silver Banshee being handled differently, yeah, I like this idea too. A different take on the character....let's see where it goes.

Nice issue. I am one that wants a stronger relationship with Superman sooner than later. She's made a friend already and don't see why she wouldn't seek out the only true Kryptonian she knows of who also is her cousing. I hope, and like, the idea that its Siobhan who may teach her English. I hope she keeps a noticable accent that some may comment on at times. And a bit of Irish too. It makes more sense than Superman trying to teach her when he is like the rest of us and grew up speaking English. I guess this could show just how fast the Super Family are able to learn languages. I suspect pretty fast. Also would be really cool if Siobhan is able to resist her father and make it as a singer. Start building that supporting cast and she can always fall off the wagon at times but it would be a good lesson for Kara that this world can be rewarding. She doesn't need a lesson now that dreams will always be crushed to one's past.

I agree with almost everything you have stated, exept about Supes, keep him far away from here! Also judging by the solicits, another Supes meeting is not in her future for now...

I think it needs to be dealt with soon though. Just doesn't make sense she's going to keep avoiding him just because its complicated. Eventually it will happen so lets set up their relationship now and be done. Doesn't mean he should be a recurring guest star, just set up the relationship and where they go from there is wide open.
