I find it very surprising that Churchill is using his detailed style given how it caused to have shoulder surgery by hey I'm not complaining.

I don't know the artist or the comic, but it is nice to see another artist that doesn't just draw a naked woman and color the suit in.

Yeah I didn't like Ian Churchill's work on Supergirl, but this is pretty solid art.
I'm really on the fence about this book. I like the characters and the mixing of Gen13 and Titans, but the writer is pretty ehh, and I'm not sold on the concept. I don't know why the team is called Ravagers when Rose Wilson is the antagonist of the book. Guess I'll give it an issue since I'm already reading Superboy and Titans.
QFT!
Ravager should be the star, when this title was announce I was all like "Cool! Rose is gonna lead the team!" Then, the solicits come out and I saw this Fairchild-person (who I now know is from Gen 13) in a pose that look like she's leading the team, and the line "Being pursued by ROSE WILSON and WARBLADE, who want them dead at any cost!" It's probably bad that I would want her to win if Beast Boy (who's now red? wtf?) wasn't on the team.
I would like to say for the record that this is the FIRST TIME I've withheld dong when someone was so desperately asking for some.

I've noticed with Churchill that he draws a lot of really similar-looking faces. Lots of gritted teeth. I do think his art has a real 90s quality...I'm interested to see how it looks after inked and colored.
This could be a good looking book but my interest in it is so low that I can't really see myself picking it up.
still not sure what this book is about
Baltimore Ravens 2013 Super Bowl Champions
"No weapon formed against them could prosper."
The concept's kinda going over my head too. We've had two issues now in Superboy and Teen Titans that have served as preludes to The Culling but still know pretty much nothing more about the storyline than before those two issues were released. I mean, is it just some big battle royale of meta teens and the winners earn jobs with N.O.W.H.E.R.E/Harvest? Makes me think a better job could have been done setting this up, and since the Ravagers is supposed to spin directly out of the Culling, I just don't know what to expect at this point.

I agree about Rose Wilson not being on the team. It doesn't really make that much sense, but I'll give this series a shot. I haven't read any of Mackie's work before. All I really know about him is that he worked almost exclusively for Marvel during the nineties. And I'm really excited to see Beast Boy and Terra (I think Terra's supposed to be on the team).
Anyway, Beast Boy is now red because he's being retconned as having a connection to the Red because of his powers. You know about the Red right? From Animal Man? Anyway, there are two forces in the Life Web, the Red, which represents animals, and the Green, which represents plants. So, I see how DC could view having a character that can shapeshift into animals, but who has green skin would be confusing for some new fans (and maybe even some old ones).
The art is good but not to my taste... it's just too slick and clean to go down for me
This comic is going to be awsome. Looking forward to seeing Beast Boy, more of Rose Wilson, Terra, Caitlin Fairchild, getting to see the new character Ridge, and the others. IMHO, this is going to be what TT should have been.
