Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, I wonder about what Chris Burnham said about Batman Incorporated 2. This would be the time to confirm whether or not Bruce was already Batman when Damian was conceived. I know they don't want to do anything that'll disrupt the consistency between the pre and post New 52 parts of the run, but I hope they use this as an opportunity to sort out how the Al Ghul family's history fits in with the new 52 instead of just telling a truncated version of Tales of the Demon. I know some people didn't even want it to be a part of the new universe, but I definitely do.
Hmm, interesting. That really is a good theory. I sort of took for granted that Joker losing his face was a Tony Daniel thing and only a Tony Daniel thing, but maybe there really is a bigger point to all this.Hush is a plastic surgeon.
Joker apparently needs a new face.
It kind of makes sense to put them in the same story, no?
Interesting. I'm enjoying her in BoP, but I'm also tired of many of Batman's main villainesses going "good." Poison Ivy I at least need as a formidable anti-villain to Catwoman's at times anti-hero. I'd really like to see Harley Quinn back in the Gotham fold and the return of others, like a revamped Magpie or the DCnU versions of Jane Doe, Calendar Girl, Phantasm, Nocturna, Spellbinder and Fright. A return for Silken Spider, Dragon Fly and Tiger Moth would be good too.
You can never have enough villainesses. Hopefully Batman Inc. will still include Kathy Kane's past and Scorpiana in the new iteration.
"Gargantua, stop! We're... friends!"

Well I did corner and threaten him before asking. Seriously though, he didn't flat out say it, but based on the context clues it seems likely. I was really asking him more about whether or not he will remember Morrison's changes to the Joker when writing him, and he basically said that he's different now since his face was cutting off, which seems to mean he's doing his own thing and ignoring the Morrison changes.
"John Stewart. LAME! ...this guy having a ring is like giving the batmobile to a blind old woman with her left leg in a cast."
"Pym biting Blobs head off seems like something that would have happened when i was ten years old and playing with action figures."
"i always assumed that [the blob] had the same powers as his 616 counterpart because, if simply being a huge fat guy was enough to be considered a mutant then there sure are a lot of mutants in 'real life'. "
I don't think that's really "ignoring", though, since Morrison himself played up the whole idea that the Joker changes his personality constantly. To me, The Joker's goals in The Black Mirror and what he did in Tec 1 fell in line with the way he reinvented himself in Morrison's run, which he did twice and planned on doing a third time just in that run. There was his standard personality as he had been written for a while in the very beginning of the run, the "Clown at Midnight", the "Gravedigger", and then he planned on becoming a superhero himself in the absence of Batman before getting punched in the face.
There's a video interview with Scott and Tony over at the DC site where they both talk about the Joker and how they've been swapping stories. I now wouldn't be surprised if they tell two sides of the same story. Not a full blown cross over, but both share elements.
I'm not sure I like the sounds of that haha. I'm already hoping Higgins and Snyder stop having their stories connect after Night of the Owls.
Yes! Though I tend to like most of the Bat-villains as more shades of grey. Many of the villainessess happen to fall in that spectrum. Catwoman was never meant to be evil, Poison Ivy was created to further prove that Batman and Robin weren't gay and as a 60's green movement and feminist movement mouthpiece, but her eco-soldier status is something that's admirable. You want her to go scare the Brazilian officials into ceasing the building of x dam or the cutting down of this forest. Especially these days.
For some time I've wanted Snyder to tackle Hush, since he fits in his whole shtick of Gotham history (Elliot family) and dark/gritty style. Nu52 is perfect opportunity to revamp him and give him harder backbone and down the line I really hope that he does, even for a issue.
Maybe the Riddler is the bad guy for the #12 1 shot and Hush and The Joker are the bad guys in the 2nd arc. Like someone said, Hush is a plastic surgeon and Joker needs a new face. We got a new supervillain team called "The plastic faces"! Hey! Let's throw in Clayface and Plastic Man! David Finch and Paul Jenkins signing off! (JK. But I'm serious up to the plastic faces part.)
I know it's annoying when people make assumptions or predictions based on nothing but I do have a feeling the next villain up is none other than BANE
Capullo just decided to draw this for a Con a while ago and when Snyder was asked recently if they're doing a Rises tie-his reply was actually "Nope!". With the exclamation. I just think thats a weird way to answer the question:
Batwoman, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Green Arrow, Superman, The Wake, Harbinger, Harbingers Wars, Prophet, Saga, Walking Dead, Great Pacific, Revival, Thor God of Thunder
