Perhaps Kitty will make good on that whole terrorist thing that was mentioned in Ultimate Comics: X-Men #1. This would pit Cap squarely against the mutants, or at least against Kitty's group.

I think you are on to something, but only partially. I don't believe that Steve will die or become evil. I think if something as big as the People and the Children didn't persuade him to come out of retirement, almost nothing will. Steve is done. John Walker, having recently been introduced, might step up and be the new Captain America (if only for a short time); hence "Captain America returns" not "Steve Rogers returns"

I've been saying for a few months now that I think Steve will ingest the source and that combined with his super soldier serum will turn him into Ultimate Sentry. I could just see a situation where he's in NY visiting Bucky, the Children are invading, he tries to protect Bucky, but Bucky ends up getting killed. Steve gets to the Triskelion, its being attacked, Steve feels helpless to stop this invasion, trying to save as many people as possible he gets a few agents and hides in a lab. The Children start busting through the door, the agents start getting killed, its down to Steve, he takes the Source and whoops the Children's butt and fights back the invasion to at least get them away from the SHIELD base.

Besides being the 616 US Agent, I noticed John Walker's uniform looks similar to Captain Steve Rogers uniform in 616 while Bucky was Cap, which the only reason I even thought "Hey maybe..."

Expanding upon this, it is fully possible that the X-Men are going to be considered the villain of this book. Not only has Colossus done something horrible recently, that directly involves John Walker by the way, but Kitty did in fact state that she does become the #1 Terrorist in America. When Kitty's team and Storm/Colossus meet up again they'll be considered terrorists by Walker, and America as a whole.

On the plus side, I bet there's going to be some sort of common threat that makes the Ultimates, Spider-Man and the X-Men all work together and in the end the X-Men will once again be viewed as heroes, putting an end to the whole anti-mutant law that was enforced after Ultimatum. Then, perhaps, the X-Men book can evolve to be more on track with it's predecessor. Hopefully by then all of the Children and People thing will be cleared up as well and the Ultimates can focus on more contained, yet still large, threats while Spider-Man continues what it's been doing all along.

So was Hickman leaving the Ultimates to write this? If its an miniseries event I hope so.

Good idea, but didn't they kind of do that in Age of X? Cap leading a group of Avengers against wanted mutants?

I do have a question. If Reed Richards is the most wanted man. and Kitty becomes the #1 Terrorist in America. Isn't that the same thing.

YES! This is SO awesome. Sunday is the Ultimate Comics panel so we'll have to wait and see but holy geez, I am SO ready for an ultimate event.
