C2E2: Ultimate Crossover Event Announced

Captain America returns to the Ultimate Universe this summer for a crossover event between "Ultimate Comics Spider-Man," "Ultimate Comics X-Men" and "Ultimate Comics The Ultimates." Again, Singh promised national attention for the story akin to the death of Johnny Storm based on a key decision a character makes within the course of the crossover. Overall, Singh called Marvel's plans for 2012 historic on many fronts with the final tease being a major shake up in the wake of "Avengers Vs. X-Men."

My prediction is that character who makes a key decision will be Kitty Pryde! (wait, did I say my prediction or my wishful thinking )

If you think about it, if it's a summer event then it will be starting around the time Brian takes over X-Men and Sam fly’s solo on The Ultimates, and if it was just about the return of Captain America, then that could be handled perfectly well within that book alone.

If it's a crossover it stands to reason that the X-Men will be involved quite heavily and with what we know of the upcoming storylines, it does make sense that Kitty could be the character they are alluding to?

Ooooo big Ultimate event? Yeah I'll be skipping Spider-Men straight for whatever this is. I'm already more interested in it than Spider-Men.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about! I'm really excited for Spider-men, but this is what the Ultimate Universe has been needing. But what could be as big, on a national news level, as Johnny Storm dying? I really hope it's not another death book.

Captain America turning evil? Ultimatum was a conspiracy to make people believe the X-Men were dead when really they're just working with Magneto? A well known good guy(s) turning bad would better than more killing, but I have to say I'm excited to see what this is.

Ultimate Cap coming back to school Mutants and Spidey is national newsworthy to me. :p still bleh how Marvel is trying to get nee readers via cross-overs, samething has been happening with Daredevil recently.

I wonder if this crossover event will be its own mini series and feature all of these characters or if it will be one story played out across all three titles. I'm hoping for the former
