AvX #2 Preview: They're Trying Really Hard to Make Cyclops Look Crazy

This entire preview is offense to both the X-Men and the Avengers. Neither team feels like their dialogue or reactions are organic or natural for the given situation. When did both sides get a collective lobotomy? There may be differences and tensions between the Avengers and the X-Men in the past, but at no point did it ever feel like a brawl between the two was ever something necessary. This whole thing feels forced. House of M had the correct reaction to a global threat that affected both teams. They sat at a table and debated rationally, albeit heatedly at times about a global threat that affected both teams. Instead of doing that here they pad the narrative with a childish rumble fan fiction instead of the intelligent, sane, and rational narrative choice to have the Avengers and X-Men reach a consensus, and work together to stop the impending potential threat of the Phoenix Force.

how is it now being broken by colossus?

It seems as if the whole thing is an excuse for both teams to act like arrogant douchebags. I hate seeing Colossus embracing his Juggernaut side as much as I hate seeing Wolverine on the heicarrier.And whatever happened to the Captain America who championed freedoms in Civil War?

Fod_xp is right. All of you stop being marks to the business and see this for what it really is. This is a marketing ploy that the writers hope to tell a good story around. It's not a good story that's written around a marketing ploy.

Also as for how Cyke is written, did you all not learn anything from how he was written over the top in Onslaught? Is this really any different?

Petey isn't in Juggy mode in those panels. So, he's trying to remain in control of the evil in him. But alas, it is quite evident that Cyttorak's infulence will take full effect very, very soon and he's gonna tear up a lot of shit. Which, honestly, I'm very happy about. Destroy everything...

It also seems a bit of a waste of time to throw Colossus at the carrier. Given Magneto can significantly change the orbit of something as massive as the breakworld's planet destroying super bullet, he should be able to crush the carrier instantly. Or if killing its entire crew is too un-pc, at least rip an engine or two off to force it to crashland. No need to screw around with half measures that keep the avengers in the game.

True, but then AvX would be a single shot issue and how would Marvel be able to bleed more money from us then? :)
