Well, after reading so many good reviews about this issue, I gave it a try. And I was surprised: I liked it for the first time. I think that is the direction a Catwomen comic should go. I will give Catty give 2 or 3 more month to go.

I like this artist better than March. I never liked March's over the top bodies, nor his manga faces.

I thought good issues, nice chemistry between Selina and Spark wonder how far it will be developed?
personally i prefer melo to march and hopefully we will see her again. decent story - sets up next months which hopefully will be a lot of fun

Excellence, still my fav of the new 52. Hope this Catwoman run with Winick and friends goes on for a long healthy run, at least 36 issues minimum. Ideally, 100 issues.
DROKK IT!!
Now, that was a fun issue! Honestly, I haven't really enjoyed this series after # 3; I'm glad it changed back this month. BTW before the reboot, I never really cared about Selina, but she seems really likeable, if flawed, in this series (I mean issues 1-3 and 8). What a surprise!
I agree. Plus like Dr. Hurt said, March's bodys are really over the top, sometimes to the point of not being sexy anymore (IMO)...
My sentiments exactly. I'd like to hope that he won't betray her or anything, but somehow I'm pretty sure it'll happen, and rather sooner than later.
I read it as you not liking the melodrama in current Catwoman (am I correct?). But me, I loved it in issue # 3! Actually, I think it was the best issue of this volume so far, almost perfect in showing depth of Selina's character and making the reader care about Lola's death. The next issues, however, were indeed a bad drama for drama's sake, so I can see your point. It got on my nerves, too. Just like the meaningless violence (I mean, did Selina really bit off a part of her enemy's ear?! Gross!).
I didn't read many of Winick's previous work, but what I read, I liked very much. His Catwoman is the first time he disappointed me (with the inconsistency of the story), but isssue # 8 feels like he still may get it right.

Ok then; and yes, I think that sadly, this (= Selina wallowing in self pity) is where it seemed to be going after brilliant # 3. I love what Winick is doing with Batwing, so it's a shame that he couldn't deliver the same (high) quality of drama with Catwoman. If he's not capable of it, then I also prefer for him to leave this aspect out of Selina's series.

I picked up #7 & 8 on the weekend (during the Free Comic Book Day festivities) - while they were an okay read, I think I'll stick with my original decision after #6 and drop the book. Melo did much better work than those dreadful BoP issues and I know March is coming back for the next issue, but I just couldn't get that interested in the current storyline (even though the new villain is pretty creepy).
