    Default Catwoman #8 Preview/Discussion SPOILERS

    http://www.comicvine.com/news/exclus...review/144561/

I liked the first arc of this book just fine, but I feel like its about to ramp up in its fun factor now that it has sort of shaken the cobwebs off.

Also, Penguin is the charecter Selina protects from the Court, so this seems like it may be the only title other than Batman and Nightwing to actually transition into the crossover.

Ha I was literally just about to create the thread for this. You're a fast one.

The fill-in artist is doing a pretty good job here. Not March-level but she (I'm assuming it's a woman) gets the general tone / look of the book right.

You assume right. I'm much more happy with what Melo is producing here, than the stuff she did on Birds of Prey last volume.

WHEN THE BLOODY HELL IS GUILLEM MARCH COMING BACK!
i really am enjoying the books story and and all but i BUY this book for his art, and this guy in my opinion isnt bad but is far from purchase worthy, and why the hec did all the issues solcitations say march would be the sole artist, stupid false info providing Mother F##kers! (yes i am aware that i care a little too much)

Next issue, calm down and look at a solicit where it says Adriana Melo is drawing it. People need a break every now and then, chill the out.

Fill-in artists happen all the time. Honestly DC has done a great job with the new 52 at preventing fill-in artists, and when they have no other choice, finding a fill-in that either matches the main artist pretty well, comes in at an appropriate time in the story, or is a total A-class artist on par with the main guy.

I would recommend calming down. Solicits are subject to change.

I kinda wish Melo was sticking around. Her facial expressions aren't as "sharp" as GM's. It has a "softness" to it that i enjoy.

Too bad they can't mix the artists. Have melo do the people and GM do everything else

Looks good--Spark already seems like a potentially fun new character. Interested to see where it goes. :)

Selina isn't heeding a friend's advice again. Should probably start a dead pool.

This. Guillem does sexy but never really does pretty. It's all severe pointy faces and big eyes.

I'm loving Selina and Spark's chemistry, though her going on about how cute he was in her head was a bit much. I love the careless and sarcastic Selina, though, and the book's definitely delivering in that respect. Not really feeling Gwen lately. She just seems like an arbitrary replacement for Lola, who I still think didn't deserve to be killed off so early. A lot of the preview reminded me of her 90s series in tone, which I'm a fan of. In this series, the campier the better. Campy/sarcastic is just the atmosphere that the book fits the best in. Definitely picking this up on Wednesday.
