So why did Marvel go with Samuel L Jackson as Fury? Is SML a huge Marvel fan?

At the risk of sounding racist I HATE Jackson being Fury I also shook my head with Kingpin in the DD movie as well, while yes I agree there should be diversity in the Marvel movies eg Asians Black etc they should be with new characters not preexisting ones think of it this way how would you feel if Vin Diesel played Black Panther

Christopher Priest intended Black Panther (Kasper Cole) to be Vin Diesel.

Not in my book. There is a fine line between racist and racially offensive. Most people seem to be incapable of making that distinction. Most people here who have claimed offense are calling the character racist, when they should be calling her racially offensive (though as I have stated I think she's neither and there's nothing offensive about her).

So you rather they delete characters like Nick Fury and Kingpin from these movies, and just make new characters who do the same thing but happen not be White?

Or if Michael Cera played Luke Cage.
That said, Marvel and DC should try to find good actors who look like the characters they cast.
Sam Jackson's a great actor. He's just not Nick Fury!!!
