    I vote for keeping the limit. If a poster wants to gauge opinion on something be getting people to say simply yes or no, then they can add a poll to the topic.

    What would be useful is the "Like" feature that this version of vBulletin has. I know the administrators are looking at other things since the forum upgrade, but hopefully it's on the list.

    Beyond that, if someone is posting to say yes or no, then I'd like to know why they're saying that. It's part of being a discussion forum.

    It depends. Are you seriously trying to say that the only reason we have discussions going on with posts above the 10 character minimum is because they have to be?

    I know this because I've been running message boards for 16 years and see what the majority of conversation looks like. Additionally, notice that this conversation in this thread is populated entire by posts with more than 10 characters and, frankly, any post in here that would have less than 10 characters wouldn't be adding anything of substance to the conversation.
