Irene Adler: “I would have you right here on this desk until you begged for mercy twice.”
Sherlock: “I’ve never begged for mercy in my life.”
Irene: “Twice.”
But before you get to worked up, check the date...

Man, didn't see this joke before. Brettc, you saw it was posted on April 1, right? EDIT: Oh, you saw it.
And even if it did happen, Azzarello already wrote Superman, and it was awesome, with Clark battling against Mount Rushmore.
Man I love the guy.
I hope he put it back or Ben Tennyson and the Plumbers are going to be pissed!![]()

Wondy hasn't fought the Eiffel Tower since forever! This is Azzarello's chance.
I like Azz WW
I would actually welcome a well done Superman story that put him up against some dark, horror/thriller type threats.
In fact, the Toyman story in the 90's where he killed Cat Grant's son would certainly fit the mold this April Fool's article suggests. And I loved that story.
Diana does not seem a darker person or anything even though her world certainly is right now. I see no reason why Superman could not be put into an equally dark story and still remain the same character.
Rob Olivera's
Velvet: The Unusual Superheroine!
I knew the story was bogus because I read the date first. The first paragraph was the give away though.
