If you had started this thread, you wouldn't have to put up with my lackluster review. all your fault!
SPOILERS
spoilers:end of spoilers
.The Human Torch and Captain Britain continue fighting adaptoids
. Hammond has a brief but meaningful scene with Deathlok-Miss America
. Miss America sets Hammond up to find Father; afer giving us a recap of the Descendant's history (all part of the plan but i'm not sure how)
. at one point it wasn't just Father. there was a Brother (M.I.A - i wonder if he's related to Braddock) and a Mother (killed by the Deathloks)
. apparently WWII-era england is to blame for all of these descendants; wanting to replicate the original Human Torch
. yes Hammond was the inspiration and they somewhat revere him/consider him a god of sorts
. Torch throws down with the city's giant bouncer; a Mastermold Sentinel
. he flies into its head and commands it to self-destruct
. Valkyrie and Black Widow are still trying to protect the kid and kind of getting their rears handed to them (boy, are these Adaptoids formidable)
. Venom shows up to flirt with Valkyrie and hold the Descendants off so that Val and Widow can evac the little kid (Parvez - who demonstrates some power potential of his own)
. Clint, Beast, and Ant-Man meet up with the others in time to teleport out of the city
. Hammond is "mortally" wounded just before they skip town
. back to the satellite base - Hammond's in a stasis tube - Pym's talking science - wants to examine one of the mini adaptoids to figure out a way to repair Hammond
. Clint's wanting to remain tight-lipped about everyone - doesn't want to seem like a screwup in front of Cap
. last page confirms what a lot of us already knew - Ant-Man's a descendant spy - and he doesn't have his g-damn mutton chops!!
Overall, i thought it was a dcent issue. I'm still interested in the story; which is the goal.
