Thats for as long as the contract exists or Upper Deck wants to continue to pursue the potential of the card game. If Upper Deck decides its not cost effective to continue to support the game we could see them become available, or When Upper Deck no longer has cards to distribute so they can no longer make money on sales to get said exclusive characters they can decide to let whatever rights they have expire or just straight give them up. It really boils down to legal information that we dont have access to.

Alright, I have a question that I hope you guys can answer: I have come into some more Superhero Squad figures, wave 16 and 17. Both have the same sticker that the newest figures have, the one that gives Classic Wolverine. I'm wondering...are the codes with these figures also Classic Wolverine, or just a subscription?

I'm 90 percent sure. The one I got my code from were with Thor and Spider-man and the extra one with Wolverine and Polaris.

I think Gazillion just switches who comes with the code themselves and the codes before them were just pure elektra and classic daredevil. I think all of the codes now give out classic wolverine.

Yes that's how it worked in the past, Gazillion would announce periodically that the free code hero would be changing soon, giving players a couple of weeks advance notice. The changeovers were every few months for about a year.
