You know, this is probably what's in the code... the moon is actually waning right now, so that's why Marc isn't impressing anyone YET. Wait until the 27th/28th, he's going to be unstoppable!
New moon - single jump, regular damage
Half moon - double jump, buff to damage
Full moon - Hulk jump, permanent damage boost, regeneration

It's those 2-3 week stretches with absolutely nothing new that piss people off completely, at that point they should have few re-skins in their back pocket that can be dropped into the game anytime just to keep the content flow going while bigger things/problems are being worked on. I'd take straight up new costume only hero for a lower price over nothing.

New Dev' Blog article:
Howdy Squaddies,
We wanted to give you a sneak peek at what’s coming up in November! We’ve got a bunch of heroes heading your way soon, and you’ll need their help if you want to defeat the new Dracula mission just released last week!
You’ve already met Werewolf by Night (get him while you can!) and now meet the Fist of Khonshu himself, Moon Knight! His body armor and silver weaponry wreak havoc on your foes. He’s an expert with his adamantium staff in close combat, but your enemies won’t be safe at range either thanks to his crescent darts!
Speaking of Moon Knight, one of his former teammates was spotted sneaking around Super Hero City…
As you may have noticed, in addition to working on new heroes, we’ve been beefing up existing ones. How do we decide who gets the shiny & new treatment? Well, honestly, it’s up to you guys! We’re always paying attention to who is considered weak and who you guys think could use some buffs. So keep that feedback coming and stay active online. We are listening!
How do we go about buffing the heroes? Well, that’s my job! I start by comparing their stats to similar heroes, and spend a lot of time running through missions to get a good sense what about them needs help. Most recently, I spent a lot of time with Hawkeye. His damage output was weak and his attacks were just not effective enough for a character focused on ranged damage.
Sometimes all we can do is crank up the numbers, but often times there are more fun/creative ways to improve a hero. In the case of Hawkeye, we allowed his arrows to pierce his targets and hit additional targets. This change both increased his maximum damage potential as well as introduced a new gameplay mechanic where you want to line up your shots to hit the most enemies possible with each arrow. Win-win!
and more missions, and more everything! But for now I’ve got to get back to work on In-*AHEM*…back to work on something secret. More hero buffs are coming, right along with more heroes,
Keep those streets clean, and as always…

personally, all of the most expensive heroes, like Spider-man, Ghost Rider, Avengers Iron Man, should have more attack power compared to the rest. If they are going to charge more for certain heroes, they should be more to them other than they are popular so lets charge more for them.
I definitely see your point, but... keeping in mind that it's a kid's game, I think that it is good for kids to have to wait to get their very favorite hero. If it was easy to get Spider-Man on day one, he wouldn't be so special (and you'd see 100 Spideys running around instead of Falcon/Cyclops).
