Black Panther's powers are/were derived from a mystical nature, through his connection with the Panther God because of his regal bloodline, passed to him by the Heart Shaped Herb, manifested by giving him super human senses and increased strength, speed, stamina, and agility all of which has been taken away by Marvel under the guise of trying something new for his character, even writing this little bit has me fuming at Marvel on how they handle him.
I dont think that Jamal is the physical type at all

but what do you think of my idea overall?

I feel your idea could work, but don't you get a sort of Amadeus Cho/ Hercules and Tony Stark/War Machine feel about it?

My idea would be for Jamal to leave Holt Industries and begin working with Karen both for her company and with her as Power Girl along with Huntress, let Huntress be his teacher in the ways of Martial arts while he learns what it takes to be a hero from Power Girl, even after that unlikely and insulting occurrence that Wallace had of her stealing, that scene was just messed up, and I still have no idea why Wallace would have her steal anything from Michael or anyone else.

There was nothing noble in this effort. Hell I don't know how you could even say any effort was put into this craptastic fanfic. DC editorial should have looked at the script for issue one and pulled the plug before it even got sent to a penciler. This book was so bad even the most hardcore right-to-lifer would have been all for aborting it.

I stopped after reading the 1st issue lol. The redesign without the cool jacket turned me off along with riding on the t spheres.... I was hoping they would have put him in place of cyborg in the current relaunch of the Justice League and made him cooler in the solo series. They should have gave him more gadgets etc..... Holt is on Batman's level but this book does not portray him up to his potential.... Sometimes I wonder why both DC and Marvel drop the ball on the lower tier heroes. Perhaps this series could have thrived as a digital only series on comixology and other sites....

This story could only have thrived with a better writer. There was horrible plot and dialogue. No change of delivery system would have helped. DC won't try digital only series unless the digital-first books prove successful. I believe that Batman Beyond Unlimited probably brought in more gross revenue than the digital chapters.

Like Power Girl, Starfire and Jonn Jonzz, Mr. Terrific is more of an ensemble-book type character.

Not to say that a Mr. Terrific solo title couldn't work, but it can't work the way DC did it here; his connections to the JSA, original Mr. Terrific, Spectre and Dr. Mid Nite are crucial elements to his personality and backstory.

And like Power Girl, Starfire and Jonn Jonzz, his backstory/continuity is actually a strength, but DC sees it as a weakness, which is a shame.

Also, I don't think he'll work any better in the Earth 2 series, which I suspect will be phoned in by Robinson, who I can't believe is happy with anything that DC is doing these days.

I gotta say, I feel the exact opposite. Are you reading the current Shade miniseries? Robinson certainly hasn't lost a step in writing for characters he cares about, and it's long been evident that he has a true love and respect for the Golden Age heroes. Despite the new uniforms and backstory, I trust that his Earth-2 characters will still be true in spirit to the ones we all remember. James Robinson is the one man I want writing Earth 2.

I'm sad to see the title go but not as sad as I am about how it was written. I'm even sadder how it was drawn. I wanted to love Mister Terrific because I love the idea of a super-hero who's power is his intelligence. But man, that was rough and it didn't have to be. I'm not sure what motivation Michael had since he seemed so disinterested in everything he did. Even the death of his wife felt like, aw shucks that sucks. And the way the dialog would go on about this and that and tada, I win. But really, the most harshest crime is the artwork. This comic was filled by unattractive people. More suited to horror if you're going for the deformed face look. Seriously, does Superman have a mouthful of marbles that have disconnected the skin on his jawbone? Just sad this title which seemed to fill a niche just became a chore. I had refused to drop it because it had to get better then it seemed what's the point since its cancelled now. Maybe that last issue will prove my faith in it but it wasn't meant to be. Did figure Michael would end up on Earth 2 (since I heard he would be in that title) in such a way that made it impossible of returning easily. Really, the third smartest man just takes a joyride across dimensions without the first percaution on how to get back?
