Really great second issue, though it was noticeably shorter that the first issue (but of course that is to be expected and can't be helped). The parents are fantastically written characters and the settings and inhabitants are amazingly designed, it really is a perfect bled of science-fiction and fantasy elements.

Man, Fiona Staples is an artistic giant-in-the-making. That reveal of The Stalk would have been killed in most anyone else's hands.

And BKV's story is as engaging as ever. Great to have him back.

Not as blown away as some of you seem to be (maybe I've been reading comics too long lol), but I'm definitely enjoying this book.

I'm a very critical person and normally will pick apart the portions of the book that need work. But I can't here. This is a fantastic issue. I think issue 1 is very, very good, and this issue is even better. As I was reading it, I was thinking that they need to make this into a movie. Way too premature, but if this continues, this could be a classic. Admittedly, I'm jumping the gun, but I am extremely impressed by the quality of this issue. Top to bottom an awesome book.

The stalk is gross...but I think there's a softer side to her. I'm guessing she's gonna be a sidekick like Chewie.

Finally got issue #1 in the mail and read them both last night. I really enjoyed the first two books. I love how the story is told by Hazel and the characters already have me intrigued. Also the art is phenomenal. The first time I saw The Stalk I was a bit confused about what all the fuss was over. I mean I thought it was a great panel but I wasn't stunned until I turned the page to the next full panel and that image stayed in my head all day long! What a great book, I can not wait to get farther into this story.

I just thought this second issue was down right great, It's so nice to have that diologe that only comes from BKV. It's so nice to be at the start of what could be a Legendary Run in comics. I don't mean to get to far a head of myselft. If you guys are looking for a good TV Show on comics watch "A Comic Book Look" it debut's every Tuesday and this week we talk about SAGA along with many other things.

This may well turn out to be one of my favourite, current comics.

I have enjoyed so much of what Image is putting out right now – Fatale, Manhattan Projects, and now this – as well as being intrigued by D.B. Cooper and Rocketeer (at Oni and IDW) that I may well consider making my pull list almost exclusively independents.

Can’t let go of Daredevil, Winter Soldier, Punisher (Rucka), FF/Fantastic Four, and Birds of Prey though.

I think it’s more than ironic that a company like Image that was essentially founded on the primacy of the artist, is now churning out a number of titles that – even though they have outstanding art – are definitely being spear-headed by the writers.

    No complaints, I love it.

    Very interesting book.
I need to read more review sites. I never even heard of this title until I saw that #1 had done well on the sales charts. Luckily a friend had a copy.
Image really is pumping out some creative books.

Finally got my hands on #1. Read both of the first issues last night. I have never been so excited for something to new to come out ever and I am so pumped for issue #3.

The art is really good. Colorful and detailed. I like her style a lot, and the handwritten narration is a really nice touch.

As for the writing, BKV does not disappoint. Great story and characters. The development of the characters is paced nicely. I love where this book is going. The writing is just as catchy as I hoped it would be, and Alana and Marko are two really interesting protagonists. The Stalk was rather..... unique. I agree with the others suggestions that the aliens have different fonts, it would help me imagine an accent.
Pull List: Saga, Danger Club, Invincible, Chew, Animal Man, Aquaman, Supergirl, Earth 2, Dancer, The Flash, TWD, Before Watchmen, Harbinger, and Swamp Thing

Just read issue no. 2 and what a great follow up. Fiona is raising the bar, the Stalk design was terrifying and gorgeous at the same time. What a wonderful story so far.

Glad to have BKV back. Really loving it so far. The entire premise is just completely awesome. This might even be able to outrank Y: The Last Man (which is quite a difficult feat) in pure awesomeness. BKV is such a great writer, even though Ex Machina was a bit of a disappointment (still great though) compared to his other work.

    Can't wait for issue #3.
