Default Bobby Petrino suffers INSTANT KARMA...

"Instant Karma gonna get you , knock you right on your face...."- John Lennon.

For years Bobby Petrino treated his bosses , be it NFL or College like shit. He would be hired , get paid a nice contract and that off-season or next , would be in talks with another college. This trend continued for years. Petrino as one guy joked was the ultimate bad faith coach. He would preach loyalty , honor and all the basics. Yet with each jump would constantly show he believed in very little of that. His young players were hurt the most and I'm sure some were left with a bad taste in their mouth with thoughts of a coach who would leave.

In 2007 he signed with the Atlanta Falcons as head coach , pissing off yet another college program which invested in him. Petrino strolled in and was gonna install his offense. He quickly started pissing off his veteran players and had one of the nicest players in the league , Warrick Dunn basically wanna slap him across the face. Petrino seeing that this meant more work suddenly bailed on his team and took the head coaching job back in Arkansas as college coach again. He quit his team with weeks left pissing those players off.

A few days ago ...karma finally caught Bobby Petrino after years of shitty actions.

Petrino's hand was caught in the nookie jar pretty bad after he was in a motorcycle wreck with a woman half his age. The woman was someone he basically hired weeks earlier and he admitted to the AD of the school about his improper relationship. The AD did something I'm sure every former college AD and NFL Owner wishes they could have done. He fired Bobby Petrino.

Its clear that Petrino will need quite awhile to escape this controversy. Just how many women has he hired for jobs and had affairs with ? Is a reason he leaves certain places so quick due to affairs he is having that could backfire on him ?

In all its not every day instant karma catches a guy. In a Bobby Petrino case it took a few years. But finally you can say , Bobby Petrino , for treating people like shit for years. You finally got paid back.

He's going to be toxic for quite some time, I think. No NFL team will touch him because of how he left the Falcons, and the scandal over the improper relationship is going to keep colleges at bay. Maybe he and Greg Williams can take over T O's arena team?

The thing is that he was going a good job on the field at Arkansas. He just had to put "dumbass" on his resume after "complete dick".

If he only had cheated on his wife, hey, the university might have decided that his tarnished reputation was worth keeping a coach with a 21-5 record in the past two seasons.

However, the AD Jeff Long laid out a lot of the details of that relationship... that Petrino had, in fact, given $20,000 of money from the university athletic department to his mistress, Jessica Dorrell, prior to giving her a job with the team. A job, that she beat out 159 other candidates to get, who can easily sue the university for claiming they were discriminated against, and Petrino got her the job because he had a sexual relationship with her.

In other words, Long wants to cut ties with Petrino for not just the infidelity angle, but the fact that Petrino's actions could have cost Arkansas by further litigation, as well as interest by the IRS of how $20K of money ended up amongst Dorrell's "earnings". It was as succinct a public dismissal as you need, and I've yet to see anyone come out in support of Petrino over this. He's kind of got a reputation for being an S.O.B., so that may have something to do with it.

However, Jeff Long is getting praised all over twitter, and amongst sports pundits already for his speech to explain it. At least someone came out of it looking good.

The infidelity is sort of its own thing, and it's not really a fireable offense or anything that really needs to be public. (Take Rick Pitino's situation, for example, which was incredibly embarassing and eventually involved the FBI investigating extortion claims.) It's the extreme abuse of power that makes this a fireable offense. It's awfully hard to find any justification to keep Petrino around.

Also heard that he's not just fired, but he's fired with cause, so that he won't be getting any of his $18 million contract from Arkansas.

Bummer for him, considering his wife will likely be filing for divorce, and she'll get four kids' worth of child support. Not that I feel bad for the guy, of course.

Arkansas fan here. Turns out the money apparently came from his own pocket, not the university's (except to the extent, of course, that they were paying his salary to begin with). But still.

    Yeah, he had to go.
I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."
Basically, if you miss the wonder of a dog flying around in a little Superman cape, you're in the wrong hobby.

If it took years for karma to catch up with him, what's instant about it?
