a new monthly or limited series would be surprising to me, given alonso's recent "gambit's not as popular as cyclops" comments and other "we need to focus on our main properties, customers don't want to support lower-tier characters anymore" stuff. but, you never know.

if it is a new comic i'll be slightly interested depending upon the creators and if the story is more stand-alone than not.

I'm hardpressed to think of an x-character I care LESS about. Even X-23 and her detachable limbs are slightly more tolerable than the faux, grease-laden machismo schtick of this lukewarm po' boy.

I think seeing Gambit as the premiere thief of the Marvel U would be cool. But he needs a cosmetic overhaul. It's not the 90s anymore. He can lose the duster. He should be more pragmatic. He should be a grimy James Bond.

He should also steer clear of an X-Team. He can help from time to time. The X-Men give him an outlet for high-stakes thrill-seeking, and he certainly sees them as friends, but I want him to be more preoccupied with his own personal life.

That said I think Gambit would fit perfectly on X-Factor. He could be on retainer.
