I need to pick the first issue up, and is this an 8 issue mini series right?

Oh very interesting because I love the theme of Saucer Country and I wonder where they are going to go with the story/book. I also reading New Deadwardians as well. I like the first issue so far
I just finished reading the new issue, and I'm sold on this series. Cornell is still withholding the satirical fantasy imagery that made Wisdom and MI13 such a hoot, but the unreliable point-of-view underlying every page of this story, ranging from political spin to hypnotic regression, creates an atmosphere of paranoia and possibility that more than compensates for the book's coy take on its other-worldly premise. Along with American Vampire, this series has made me think twice about declaring that Image is the new Vertigo, despite the impressive showing of books like Saga, Secret, Fatale, and Chew. It's a revelation (as it were) to see Cornell turn his satirical gifts from British scenarios to the odd admixture of cynicism and raw belief that gives the American experience its distinctive flavor. My wallet endorses Saucer Country (as both a series and a phrase that handily captures the topsy-turvy insecurities of my homeland).
Drop Avengers (or whatever). Read this.

I was a little iffy after the first issue, but I really enjoyed the second. I'll be following this title for a while I think.
If you're not reading Unwritten you should be.
I really liked #1. But was still unsure about whether I'd keep following it. But now after #2 I can safely say that I plan to continue buying it, hopefully for a long time. And I feel the urge to put it on my pull list![]()
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.
