I just want to say that I love your enthusiasm Stephens. I've been a big fan of superboy since reign of supermen but as a fan of both hellion and x-man i feel these other posters make a good point. The lack of powerful tk users in DC does help.

In a generic way he is like marvel TK users,but the same can be said for superman and any other flyijg brick.

TK field equals mimicry of physical powers
Actual TTK senses
Kryptonian dna- enhanced strength,SUPER metabolism,no need to eat,or sleep,mind is spread through his whole body,genetic memories

Those are the things that make him NOT a Marvel TK user,and thats only 8 issues in.

Well SB was the first clone of superman with TK or TTK powers,so that should be respected too.

To compare something so trivial as that to the FIST SUPERHERO EVER just doesn't seem right. The only reason he even had his powers was because of the editorial mandate at DC during the 90s that prevented them from having more than one Kryptonain around even Supergirl at the time had different powers but they all amounted to Superman's powers.

Superboy is no different and in a Superman comic in the 90s having to do with the villain Dominus Superman is set in different variations of his world and among them was a silver age world were Superboy was present and he was dressed in Superman's suit with a baseball cap and he had Superman's powers. Also Supergirl was there too but she was kara. So they were basically saying this is what things would be like if we didn't have that mandate.

He's an awesome character and I absolutely love his TK but you can't compare the two in such a way.

TK was his power for whatever reason ot was from the beginnijg and always has been,that should mean something too.

The johns/lemire SB had all supermans powers,but still had TTK,even in its sad pathetic state it was there,its always been there.thats how it should be on the show.

My reason for pointing that out wasn't to disrespect you or you point in any way it was to say that Superboy is following after characters who made to power of TK popular i.e. Jean Gray who may not be the fist TK based Superhero but she is the most popular and Superboy came after her.

Also that his power are not really different from normal TK at all (even in the 90s) his form of TK is really just a subsection under the umbrella term TK.

And as far as you saying that "this is how things should be on the show" I just address that stuff in the other thread.

Not that great an issue, which I'll put down to two things:

- DeFalco scripted it, not Lobdell (it was noticeable this month)
- Silva only pencilled five pages of the issue

I thought the fill-in guy was very inconsistent. There were some pages that didn't look too bad, but several others that were a bit under-rendered or sloppy. Hopefully there's no intention to make him the regular artist just yet.

He (Coello) certainly wasn't 'bad' as such, just a bit sloppy at times. But hey, I can put that down to possibly getting the gig at late notice, because I certainly liked the couple pages he did (including the Fuji page) on the previous issue.

I thought there was asmackdown,you know cassie hits rose,rose falls down at the end of the issue,but seriously teen titans nd superboy have been atleast half the time ass backwards in timeline,like this month,so we could see more next week,or none at all.
