imo if you leave cause its going slow,or to connected to Teen Titans then your really gonna miss this book becoming great.imo as soon as kon gets away from NOWHERE,and starts his actual life, and goes from living weapon to being a real boy itl be great.issue 10 and 11 seem exactly what im talking about.

i hope we get to see more links power and otherwise to kryptonians, but i dont see scott giving him the flight, vision etc powers, his TK is his power, sure he will have all the under the radar kryptonian abilities, but not the big showoff powers.

question- if he has every conceivable thing that used too,or could link him to superman and kryptonians besides the big showoff powers and TK as his major big showoff power, then is that enough to accept him?

I might have missed some details but what if his tactile telekinesis is derived from Kryptonian powers? Superboy started out as an attempt to recreate Superman without actually cloning him, and his TTK was based on Superman's Byrne-era aura.

translating the aura into a field, mutation from being half human,or third dna donor, any of those reasons could be the reason he has TK powers and not the kryptonian powerset.

love this book! very cool how Superboy used his TK as a form of x-ray vision. the issue did feel kinda disjointed since so much stuff was going on and everything is connected to the other books. still a great read. plus we got a look at New 52 Beast Boy! really looking forward to The Culling.

Nah, I know that, I'm just saying they're branching out into it more than they did before to emphasis his uniqueness (then again, the Young Justice comic always mentioned it too).

beast boy, terra, and fairchild was in superboy#8,while Ridge(the new ravager character) showed up in legion lost #8,now we nust have to see the thunder and lighting kids.

they have been building up this crossover for awhile now,so absutely no surprises seeing all the books showing other parts that make up the crossover in the books.

i do think teen titans should be out before superboy, because you can tell that they skipped stuff from TT#8 from reading SB#8.

i wonder if Harvest is someone else under that getup?

i loved that SB used his TTK senses during the fight with Grunge,it is a great power that takes the place of the kryptonian sesnory set.

SB is obviously connected to superman,so why not play up the stuff that makes them different, maks them their own character.like superman was raised as clark in kansas and works in metropolis at the daily planet, thats somethimgs that make him unique from kaa and kon, these things that make characters from the same "family" should always be spotlighted to me.

Yup it could be the later two but not the fist one because the aura doesn't exist any more. Superman just has super skin....and ever other conceivable part of his body lol

From the solits of issue 10 and 11 there are guest appearances of Wondergirl and Bunker. I would want to see some brand new people in his life. People outside the super hero world. I definitely want to see more of a connection to his kryptonian side of the family like being a solar battery and having some weakness to Kryptonite. He doesn't have to have all or any of their powers but at least the traits I've mentioned visually convey that he has a Kryptonian connection. Powered by the sun and weakens to a green rock, ahh this must be a "Super" character. As for his power, I wish it was just limited to tactile telekinesis. It was unique to Superboy. No one else had it. I like the tactile sensory ability and the tk hyper-acceleration capability, but giving him full on telekinesis just makes me think I'm reading a random Marvel Comics character with an "s" on his chest. Seeing him lift a car with his bare hands or punching holes through steel with his fist even via a tk field looks "Super." Lifting a car without touching it makes me think of Jean Grey, Hellion, Magneto etc. While awesome I just don't feel a "Super" connection. Given all those things I've mentioned then I'd accept him.

I agree. Making things just float around doesn't feel right. It's the same reason I wouldn't want Superman to have full-blown telekinesis. Needing to physically interact with objects makes it so they have to work harder and can't just float there in place all aloof and make everything right without moving a muscle.

Guys he has a TK field,it becomes full TK by extending it,but the filed still has to touch stuff, and it is differmet than random marvel characters or YJ miss martian

He is his own power source,so no absorbing radiation good or bad....until its changed.

    IGN's review of Superboy #8:

    http://comics.ign.com/articles/122/1222825p1.html

I thought this was a little harsh. Obviously IGN hasn't liked the Superboy run and even though I don't think it's perfect, it's not nearly as bad as they make it out to be.
Reading: A Comics, Superman, Superboy, Batman, B&R, Nightwing, G Lantern, GL:NG, The Flash, J League, T Titans, Earth 2, World's Finest and Smallville S.11!

    Watching: Young Justice.

Joey esposito one of the most negative toward the superboy book is on twitter,i usually say something to him everytime he posts his review, because its bull, true the book has issues, but its a fun read, and issue 8 was straight out of a Image beatdown book(that was a compliment).

Btw i am formerly declaring my position that nuSB already has golden age powers now.lol

Yes I know, I explained that to you before. Remember? When he extends the tk field and it "touches" objects that does not make it tactile. It's the exact same process with other tk users. They project tk energy (which is what the tk field is btw) which manipulates objects or other forms of matter. What puts the tactile in ttk, is that Superboy has to physically touch something. His arm, leg, head, etc has to make contact. Since the field is like his second skin, he can affect anything his BODY comes in contact with. THAT is what makes him different from other tk users. Also, the DCNU Superboy does not have golden age powers. The GA Superman skin could not be penetrated by a bursting shell, knives, swords, etc. The DCnu Superboy was impaled by a sword, knocked down by a tire iron, kicked by two humans who have no super strength, and if he had the GA Superman's strength, he would have kicked Grunge's head clean off and ended the fight. He does have a healing factor which is what helped him survive Grunge's beat down. At best he seems to have peak human abilities. You have to wait until its explicitly stated.
