Well your not part of my world then. Because unlike those who could collect easy fucking checks each week on TNA... Tommy didn't. And he's doing this with his own dime . Plus knowing his willingness to put guys over and not care...you go Tommy Dreamer. Make those who think like that eat serious shit.

(And so far...Doring and Roadkill aren't even confirmed yet...)

Thirded. It's becoming pretty sad. Especially since Heyman is the only one who has moved on

You know what happened at the shane douglas show?
They booed everything and didn't give a shit about the new guys, that's whats going to happen here, except they probably won't boo everyone since Sandman could never really work and Rhyno can probably still work.

We really don't know what the audience will do to the new wrestlers involved. One is from CZW from what I read. I'm sure its gonna be a well rounded card and not have assholes suddenly boo the new guys . (If you give fans a reason to care...they will is my stance)

They must have fired him and Heyman both. Because Tommy was on the staff with Heyman when he was there.

Well considering that the show isn't all about bloodshed and chaos and its about getting back that spirit ...I can sense what Tommy is trying for. I remember a joke where a company tried running an ECW style show years back before they tore down the ECW Arena. In it they detailed nearly every match had someone go through a table. By the 4th ot 5th match the crowd had basically got bored of it.

I think if Tommy books it well (and to be fair ...Dreamer booked ECW , ran TV , worked in ring with the kids before a show and more) and gets help with it and all...he could have something . He could mix/match the young stars he tries against the established ones and try to give fans a reason to care. Not outright bury the older guys or himself. And knowing Tommy if he works against someone young he will put them over. Because that is the way he has always been and willing to put that next kid over and all.

It could work. Of course people already have thoughts it will fail. And its doom and gloom. But if he can draw an ok crowd and build from it... his "House of Hardcore" promotion would be nice to see. If it can capture that spirit.

(and yes...I like Dreamer... to me he was the ultimate company man who did everything he could..and put off surgery to do it. So I will gladly show what a fan I am of his)

    and even post this...

Dude, come on, he's not going to have anything.
He's running a small indie promotion with no set up, he's going to be under chikara and czw and juggalo championship wrestling.
    And that's if he's good.

I will gladly hope its good and works for him and those involved. I hope the fans take to it and Dreamer can create something for the kids ahead. Because he's trying to do that at least. So I will hope it works where its easy to say "doom n gloom" ahead.

Actually, it's just as easy to say "Hope it works" as it is to say "It will fail."
Easier actually, you have fewer letters.

I liked Tommy Dreamer, and I loved ECW, but this doesn't sound like the best idea. ECW is gone. Let it go.

Part of me wants to support Tommy while the other half is just saying let it go

i was talking about the chant transferring over to AJ, it has worked, when she calls for it she gets it.

This whole "It's the chant that's over not the guy." Is the same thing as when people said Punk wasn't really over, it was just that people hated Cena. And here we are, almost a year later, and they pop for Punk as loud as they do for Cena.
well that's wrong because the quote is wrong, it's not ""It's the chant that's over not the guy." it's "the chant is MORE over than the guy". it's just something that's caught on with fans for whatever reason, we've heard it when there's nothing to do with brianson at all.

ROH's show is sort of the bottom line of what's acceptable in terms of how the show looks, but only if it's easy to find. I don't recall seeing any indie who's show looked better than ROH.

I know that there are several indie groups that would love for people to come to them online, but I have to draw the line somewhere. If a company can get on broadcast TV, I'll give them a shot. Otherwise, maybe I'll catch a match here and there if I hear it's really good. But, looking at my own behavior, there's no way I'm following anything regularly online. It hasn't happened yet, and I don't know what could possibly change that.
that's all fine, i don't watch anything xclusively online either, but you're not asking "if it's not on TV why should i care" or comparing wrestling to baseball.

i'm just saying wrestling isn't like baseball as it's a performance art not a sport, and offering an answer to the question "why should i care??" if he wants 1.

this is from the last shane douglas show

it didn't sound like boos and the crowd seemed pretty hot for the new guys to me, also it looked like more than 200.
the match even seemed kind of cool. still though i'd rather dreamer just get in with shane, don't need 2 companies doing the same splitting the fanbase.

as long as there are fans who want to see it and wrestlers are getting paid i don't see why it bothers people so much.

Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order
