    Default Marine Man Trade

I missed out on the monthly issues of MM. I didn't have it on pull list & my LCS sold out so I waited for the trade. I received the trade as an Easter gift (*). Great stuff!

Ian's passion for the ocean shines thru on every page. His writing was very good. I like that it was a fun all ages book. I also enjoyed his "Ed McGuiness" style art. It fit this character. I have been a fan of Ian's art with his work at DC, Marvel & Awesome.

Hopefully sales were good enough for a second volume. Marine Man has joined Aquaman & Namor as awesome water based heroes!

(*) - We only give our kids a small amount of candy in their Easter basket so we fill the basket with books, DVD's, etc. I bought my wife baseball tickets (she loves hockey & baseball!) for an upcoming game & I received Marine Man & Shinedown's new CD.

I really felt the trade was a great value. It had a ton of extras. I liked seeing Ian's MM from when he was 8 yrs old.

I must be obsessed with water based heroes right now. Since Christmas I have gotten 3 Aquaman trades, 2 Namor trades & Marine Man. Plus I read my daughter's Fathom trade!

Marineman was an amazing book. It was fun. More comic companies and creators need to remember fun.

About two weeks Ian Churchill announced on Facebook that volume 2 is in the works. He has it about halfway plotted. However, I would imagine that his DC book would take priority over Marineman.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully it will out sometime next year (after he fulfills his DC work).

I read Marineman in single issue but I got the trade as well after Ian showed it to me on a Comiccon in the Nederlands, and it's one of the best paperback collections I have ever seen.

Great book. I collected the single issues when they came out but have been thinking of checking out the trade. Love the art and the fact that is was all ages too!
