DHP 14 has a pretty crazy variety of talent. I'm especially excited to see a new Nexus story, but it feels like they don't have any "superstars" on this issue like Mingola or even Brian Wood to draw in readers.

Ugh, Concrete: Three Uneasy Pieces. I already have the three stories from DHP... but it'll be the first purely Concrete floppy released since I became a fan of the character! I have to get it.

I too will be picking this up. Never read anything from this character to I'm not exactly sure what to expect.

Short synopsis/all you really need to know at first: Concrete was once a human writer who was transformed into a rocky creature like in an old fashioned superhero origin - but instead of following through with the superhero genre, it's fairly realistic; Concrete becomes a bit of a celebrity and tries to adjust to something like a normal life. Their are 7 tpb out from Dark Horse which collect all previous stories. I got 'em a few years ago, and they're real great!

The name I'm most excited about in the DHP listing is Evan 'Doc' Shaner. About time that kid got published!

Dark Horse Presents looks good that month. I'll definitely pick it up. I'm enjoying the new DHP so very much.
I've always seen Concrete around but never actually read it. But after reading about it, I'm really excited to now. I missed DHP 1-3 so I'll pick up the one shot. I may pick up the TPB of the older stuff too. I mean I definitely will eventually.
