I loved Cosmo - GotG, Agents of Atlas, Iron Fist, CB&MI:13 - all the really good titles that Marvel was putting out a few years ago that have since gone by the wayside.
Please be bringink back more Cosmo!
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.
There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.
Nyte, nyte! How does I miss these! (Cosmo talk!)
So I got to know him through Nova and I'm finally reading GotG. Oh, my...GOD! How is it possible to like him any more?! The dynamic between him and Raccoon definitely exceeds expectations!
Cosmo teleporting the Guardians into the Negative Zone: "This is as you say, Rock and load!"
Raccoon as they land in the middle of Blastaar's Mob: "Did that smelly Cosmo do this on purpose?! Why does this dog hate me?!"
I'm a hard person to make laugh, but oh my god, every thing Cosmo says has me in stitches! The dog puns are fantastic. "Cosmo has too much in his bowl". Too good!
I'm really liking Mantis too. I know her from some of the early Avengers stuff, but when did she become green?
Is beink reviving this thread for luff of Cosmo.
Share in the luff, da?
Showing Cosmo respect. Love that character.
Makes me miss all the Marvel Comic events from before. Time to re-read a bunch of them now.
The clever thing about the Cosmo character is the whole Cold War back story. The Soviets were sending dogs into space pre-manned missions, while the Americans were sending monkies. Because of the secrecy of the Soviet space program, there were lots of wild stories about whether dogs or even men ever came back before Yuri whatsisname Gurgaryan became the first official man in space.
So Cosmo dates back to the late '50s/early 60s, when only Soviet dogs were Cosmonauts. He's basically a "What if.." character pulled from history.
I'm still annoyed that Cosmo seems to have been left out of the movie plans.![]()
while i love Cosmo i think that audiences wouldn't 'get' him. a talking raccoon and a talking dog in the same film might seem too kiddie.
It's been awhile since we've had a Cosmo lovefest!
