Ha. You can never go wrong in a thread about a cosmic telepathic dog with Russian origins.

There was an expansion for the game that came out a few years ago called "Hammer of Thor." One of the non-Thor-related subthemes of that particular set was the newer Guardians of the Galaxy. It included pieces for Rocket Racoon, Starlord, Bug, Moondragon, Phyla-Vell, Ronan the Accuser, Ultron, and his Phalanx Soldiers.

A later set included Groot. Now, we are finally getting Cosmo. The new set that includes our favorite Soviet Psi-Hound also includes a few classic Guardians of the Galaxy like Martinex, Nikki, and Charlie-27, as well as a number of other cool cosmic characters.

Neat. I gave up on HeroClix years ago, but it's still fun to see who they make. Good for Cosmo.

Cosmo is the kind of character that justifies the existence of comics. In no other medium, you'd get away with something like this, and make him so freakin' cool.
That's right! Al Gore invented the internet, let's all go kick his ass!

I got your inconvenient truth right here, motherf*&¨%!

If someone had described the concept to me before I read it I would have thought it was going to be extremely lame and stupid. Instead it was awesome.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.

In Soviet Russia, Cosmo loves you!

(don't know if you got Yakov Smirnoff in Brazil)

Have any parts of Cosmo's origin been told yet? Did he get his psychic powers from being shot into space, or did he have them before the flight?

I wonder if he has any relationship with any of Marvel's other Soviet space characters: Vostok, Epsilon Red, Dr. Volkh, etc. We need a story about the history of space travel/the space race in the Marvel U. The FF origin is dependent on the Space Race, but obviously that has been retconed out of existence.

You could argue the same could be said about Rocket Raccoon, but he's just as equally awesome! (But Rocket carries BIG GUNS that put 90's era Cable to shame, so maybe he's slightly higher?)

Rocket's mini was a back-up story in Transformers UK that I read as a child, and I found it amazing, wonderful, weird and scary. While I love his big guns, he'll always be a swashbuckler to me.

I love the interplay between him and Cosmo, especially during the Secret Invasion tie-in issues, where they both look down on each other with mistrust for being anthropomorphised animals.
