    Default Question about Orbiter

Hi, I'm italian and in july in Italy, for the first time we'll have the possibility to read Orbiter, the space graphic novel of Warren Ellis....

It's a good work? is it worth it?

    Thanks

I vote yes. Do you like sci-fi? Other things by Ellis? If so, it's a pretty good bet. It's been a long time though, I don't remember much specific about it.

From what I remember, not one of Ellis' best

    Easily one of Ellis' Best.

Ellis writes damn good science fiction yarn when he's on. And with Oribiter he was so on it hurt. Probably single-handedly made me an Ellis fan. Lead me to Transmetropolitan at least.

Agreed. Also, Colleen Doran provides some amazing artwork for what is a challenging script.

It's been 9 years since I read it, back when it came out.

Didn't really like it all that much back then (maybe because it was something very different from what I had been expecting?), and never got around to rereading it until now.

The book makes a damn good second impression. Thoroughly recommended.
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."
