I really liked the book and I really like the review. Kind of scratching my head though because no one seems to be really talking about it.
Ever-changing Pulls
DC - Batman, Aquaman, JL, JLD, JLA, Green Lantern, Vibe, Flash, Constantine, Earth 2
Image - Saga
Dark Horse - Star Wars
I picked up a copy over the weekend at the Emerald City Comic Con. LOVED it...just exactly the kind of teen superhero comic I'm looking to read. Kudos to Walker and Jones and congrats to Image on yet another fantastic debut.
There's no sense in nonsense when the heat's hot.
Due to the good word of mouth, I decided to pick this up since the LCS didn't have what I was looking for (Sharknife ZZ). I'll be back with my thoughts later.
LATER: This was pretty good. I'm not sure it's an insta-buy yet, but it's worth it to get issue two. I'm most interested to see how they build up the world and what other characters are introduced. Kid Vigilante's definitely my favorite character though, probably the best Robin I've read about in years. And yeah. This book is definitely deserving of more attention.

Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
Kid Vigilante got to do all the cool stuff. Hope, the develop the rest although I think this if the first time I have seen a team where the Black Male is the most powerful member. IMO, Good Read.
Black History Month & 29 Days in February
Added it to my pull list today. Gonna have to wait until May to get second printing.
Why do they keep selling out of comics? Seriously, you think they would print more.
Books keep selling out because they are good, and retailers aren't ordering enough copies, Image (and other companies) don't want to print too many because if the demand isn't there why sit on excess product and lose money? Bad for the company and the creators.
Retailers don't order enough copies because they don't know what their customers want since they don't preorder enough. Retailers don't want to order too many because if the demand isn't there why sit on excess product and lose money?
Customers don't preorder because well I don't know. it varies from person to person.
Our store sold out of it, as did the other two stores we own. I got to read a copy before we sold it, and it was great. This and Hell Yeah made me excited about super hero books as a genre again, and I wasn't sure that was possible.
Noh-Varr Reviews: The Silence of Our Friends by Mark Long, Jim Demonakos, and Nate Powell.
Was hyped off it because of the preview and I love it
Child Of The Atom Smasher
Looking forward to getting this from my DCBS order. Love teen superhero comics
I'm really liking these new image books. Danger Club's art was really good and the tone of the books set with the brutal fight at the end I definitely see coming. One thing that I didn't understand though was is everyone in the world super-powered? Or is the world just destroyed and they are it's last hope? Buildings seemed messed up but didn't see any people around or anything.
I had ordered #1 basically just because it was a new Image #1. The solicit was only mildly interesting to me though so I wasn't really expecting much.
Read it. Loved it. Added it to my pull list. So much fun.
