Cyborg Superman, definitely. At least through the end of "The Trial of Superman", anyway, when they threw him into a black hole. He kinda went a little "out there", after that, although his role in the Sinestro Corps War almost made up for his lamer appearances.

He had the advantage of his Kryptonian tech, plus the DNA of Clark and all the benefits that go with that. Truly an "evil twin", so to speak, of the Man of Steel. Just loved him, and I hope they find a way to bring him back in the New52 (as a Superman villian...if it's just as a foil to Green Lantern, they can keep him).

Oh, and the guy who mentioned Word Bringer? Awesomesauce! One of my favorite all-time issues is during Exile, when Clark lands on that alien planet...and the horror and disgust on his face when he realizes that the Word Bringer has been there. Nice pick.

Twice, and villains are often "shut down" just to pop up again.

Given my renewed interest in fairy tales, I'm going with the Queen of Fables. Female villains are usually a plus.

Definitively Cyborg Superman. Probrably one of the best post-crisis original villains.
Also, points for that guy who remembered the Word Bringer. Still brings me shivers, even today.
*sigh* No, I'm not--Yes. Yes, I'm Superman. Your bullets will bounce off me and I'll stare you to death with my heat Vision. May as well hand over the gun before I BEND it - John Henry Irons, the hero know as Steel

    I'd say she's more of a Wonder Woman/JL villain.

Doomsday. Mostly one-dimensional killing machine, I know, but hey; I'm sure he's the modern-day Supes foe most people with even a figment of general Superman knowledge knows the most, even if only for the single historic event of Death of Superman alone. Heck, I've heard of Doomsday before Toyman, Mxyzptlk, Bizarro, and every one else, save Lex Luthor!

Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, Silver Banshee, Conduit, ect, now they take some digging of actual Superman comics to get to know - however, since I did, always had a special soft spot for Maxima - but then again, I've always got a thing for strong, domineering, beautiful scantily-clad women.

Doomsday is scary every time you seem him so yea i geuss.
Cyborg is usually a better story.
Did Gen Zod appear Pre Crisis?

These has to be more. Livewire and Mongel are cool. What about Ruin?
    :o
Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.

Pre-crisis , Zod wasn't much of a presence. He's usually lumped with all the kryptonian prisoners in the phantom zone. The 3 most common phantom zone prisoners seen in pre-crisis are usually Zod , Jax-Ur (who's probably the most used) & Faora.

Manchester Black's great. I don't really consider Maxima a villain (what with her extensive time with the Justice League, and seemingly dying trying to help save the universe...)

I'd definitely say Luthor. Darkseid comes in second.
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
