Well this issue will tug at your heart! After the four circle event flash tries to pick up the pieces of his life. Sadly they are shattered on the ground. Betty breaks up with Flash face -to face , his mother yells at him. Even Peter was kinda mad at him. Two venom spawns are killed off by a corrupted Brock. He fights the jack o lantern next.! Also Valkyre and flash have a potential relationship.
All and all 4/5 a dramatic issue.

Flash just needs to realize that at the conclusion of every action-packed story, there's going to be a nice, quiet issue waiting for his life to completely and totally suck.

I was never attached to spoilers:

Betty/Flash

end of spoilers, so I don't mind if that goes. Although, seeing spoilers:

Betty get indignant about possibly not being in a healthy relationship is laughable

I dislike what Eddie does in this issue. It just feels like a waste, similar to what happened to the Gwen Clone in that Spider-Island one-shot. They've been around with no consequence for years, why do you need to spoilers:

kill them unceremoniously?

end of spoilers I mean, I have no qualms with DOING it, I just feel like in a medium which is all about milking every idea for all its worth, it's really wasteful.

In the end, though, it's a solid regrouping issue. Sort of a reset. And I was so glad to see him ditch the wheelchair finally.

Given that this title is still continuing, I wouldn't expect things between Betty and Flash to be completely over.

(But Flash's life still sucks.)

I'm really disappointed that they killd Scream, though the way they did it was poetic justice after she had used the sonic knife to kill her teammates. Since her symbiote didn't join Mercury Team, I wonder what happened to it?

I enjoyed the Valkyrie and Flash banter which was good. Though there is one thing I did not like which was:

I was mostly pissed with the general treatment of the symbiotes. Venom is a sentient creature but for some reason it's OK to cut off it's mind and just use it as a brain dead tool. Basically doing what the alter-Reeds' did to the alter-Dooms over in FF, and that was evil right? I mean Doom is a bad guy but destroying his mind and enslaving him? Writers seem to gloss over this is what they are having the 'heroes' do. Plus they pass all the blame onto it. Apparently noone who wears the suit is in charge of what they do, it's ALL the symbiote. I don't know if it's lazy writing or what.

And of course then you have Hybrid and Scream. I know it's Brock but the symbiotes are meant to empower the host. TO have them both taken out so easily by one man, especially a crazy man, diminishes them. Honestly they can kill Brock now, done with him.
