For those of you who read this, there was a tease at the end of 8 maidens of Midgard that will be lead by Valkyrie when the time calls for them.

It shows Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Black Widow, Storm, Mockingbird, Invisible Woman and Storm.

Now, call me overly optimistic, but I'm VERY giddy that this is a potential series we might get! I mean, how cool would it be?!

i swear to god that i was going to post that exact lineup (but Tigra was also in it) in the avenger dream lineup thread last night. i gave up before posting and went with a new warriors lineup instead.

Okay, Storm is named twice. Assuming Marvel has not come up with an "awsome new character" called White Storm or any other such nonsense, who is the missing eigth character? Maybe a soon to be ressurected Wasp? Or even better, Photon (Monica Rambeau)?

It's a good, if not all the obvious choices, for a lineup.
Still think they could have added another certain character... then again, this probably isn't set in stone. Ms. Marvel is still Ms. Marvel, for example.

I don't think those shown are a given. It shows those heroes but it also shows a number of others including fire fighters, doctors, cops, etc....

I don't think those shown are a given. It shows those heroes but it also shows a number of others including fire fighters, doctors, cops, etc....

I meant the superheroines present. It's like a lineup of Cap, Thor, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Luke Cage. It's the obvious choices, so I don't know if that will be the lineup or not.

I was going to post about this, too! Sad to see Darkstar excluded :(

There are pleanty of other females (powerful ones at that) that were excluded. If Marvel were not so set in ignoring it's vast universe in favor of always the same characters that already appear in so many books, we could have seen: Darkstar, Hellcat, Photon, Sabra, Spitfire, Sersi, Moondragon, Madame Web, Vindicator and oh so many others.
