In this case I think it easily shows why this was more than internet nerd rage when it came to Rogneto. Mike Carey even admitted he was nervous before he did it; that it had a beginning, middle and end, which never really ended up being true. It was plain bad judgement based on an awful foundation.
I don't want to start up the arguement again btw, it's just all around unfortunate.

It's pretty sad when a person needs alternative realities to get themselves over with a person ( this is the type of person I could be, but I'm not really), even with Carey's rosie interpetation for Magneto it still made no sense for Rogue to be so taken by him.
Very few things in a comic has made me feel as disgusted than roguneto, the only thing that comes close was Norman Osborn impregnating Gwen Stacy!What the F* does things like this add to the comic medium?

I suppose it is possible that you could see a "Romy" return in 2013, but I am doubtful personally, Marvel seems to go out of their way to sqaush their relationship. The whole reason of Milligan's run was to break them up, IMO. Carey went with Magneto over Gambit, and claimed it made sense!

The rage was legit because of canon. Even detractors couldn't deny the truth of canon. The only retort was to try and stop others from posting canon across boards. But, too many people, especially Rogue fans, know her canon as it relates to Magneto which is why it still makes no sense, to this day.

Actually, I was thinking about the panel where Rogue discusses wanting that husband etc and then Mystique changes to Gambit and tells her about her wanting that normal life with Gambit above.

If anybody noticed, later on, when Carey flashbacked this in XML, he took out the parts referencing Rogue wanting Gambit as her husband. That's the comment I wanted to make about #359.
