Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Season 2

I really enjoyed the final episodes, but they weren't up to the standard set in season 1 and early season 2.

I agree with the comments about the varying power levels. The characters seemed to be all over the place in terms of their physical strength and mental aptitude. The one I noticed the most was Ms Marvel, but it seemed to be a problem with Thor, Vision, Wasp and Yellowjacket.

I really hope that the new Avengers cartoon can attain the same high level quality of writing and action as the earlier episodes of EMH. I will miss having Wasp and Ms Marvel on the team though - I have a heroine addiction that Black Widow just doesn't satisfy.

I hear ya. While the new show will follow closely to the films I still hope we see more heroines as regulars.

I wouldn't bother if that's all you are waiting for. You'd get more satisfaction by looking at a still photo of him.

honestly, you can tell they were playing clean up.

they should have left surtur as the final threat and used that....we had build up and the basic story model could have been used...with a few tweaks.

hulk got shafted near the end ...didn't even speak, but at least they aknowledged him as an avenger in the final shot.

I want more new avengers too...dag nab it...wolvie and spidey have such great chemistry it's insane.

If you want to do it more like the movies...fine, but honestly, please make it more like the jlu and write the story where it could conceivably be an extension of either the movies or earth's mightest heroes...with better animation.

besides being thee single best renditions of multiple characters on both sides of the heroes/villians lines, hydra were obviously rifts fans. :D

I'm just wondering why they think a new show would do better then the old one? Even if they thought people who liked he live action movie might be interested in a cartoon..they wouldn't necessarily have to change it. If I had never heard of the cartoon before and then saw the movie and loved it..I'd probably check out the cartoon even if it wasn't taking place in the same universe. Especially since I'm sure there are people out there who liked the cartoon a lot and thus saw the movie based on that.

I overall was not impressed with the last episodes. While the show has been watchable i rather dislike how no villain ever quite hit Graviton levels of threat. Even characters who have every reason to be as or more powerful than Graviton. That is i think the shows greatest flaw, they opened it with a level of threat they never really repeated or topped. Galactus was just a disgrace, i knew he was gonna have to be powered down like Thor is and i knew he was hungery but i find it rather insulting the character who should of been the most powerful foe they faced was a single ep baddi.

Yep, this is why I've always thought Graviton should of been fought at the end of the first season. Maybe they could of had Loki release him only to realize he bit off more then he could chew.

They don't. There are a couple of loose ends, and some stuff that feels like they left open just in case they did go a third, but it's a relatively satisfying ending, as far as these things go.

Probably better than Surtur. You could basically swap out Galactus for Surtur, it'd be more or less the same ending, but Surtur has less oomph than everyone's favorite horny purple helmeted invader.

I've noticed inconsistent powerlevels as a whole from a few of the 2nd season antagonists:Vision, Yellowjacket, and the Kree Sentries all seemed much less impressive in their second appearances. They were all team threats (even YJ without his shrink ray was a great h2h fighter), but suddenly Vision forgot he could phase when fighting Cap, YJ had trouble with some mooks, and the Sentries were reduced to cannon fodder for Thor's hammer.

As to the first two, that tends to happen when bad guys become good guys. Especially when Cap was a bad guy against Vision. Although you could always chalk that up to Vision having coming out of the repair cycle 20 seconds earlier.

Has the show having a sunday morning timeslot had any effect on the shows ratings?
I know in yon olden days this was a pretty crappy timeslot to have but is that much of a factor nowadays?

And I doubt it. From what the write-up said the crowd was genuinely enthusiastic. Not a few people.
