I really hate when DC says they have big plans for anyone.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
If this were in the Batman forum, I'm sure that, right now, we'd have batGRRRl4ever come storming in proclaiming that the lack of plans for Steph is concrete evidence that Barbara Gordon is the one and only supreme Batgirl.
Yes I so love we have the most boring and uninteresting Batgirl EVAR as the sole Batgirl. /sarcasm I also love it when DC needlessly retcons things. /sarcasm. But you know what I most love...?
WHEN DC SAYS THEY HAVE BIG PLANS FOR CHARACTERS. It's basically DC's secret code that says, "we have no plans at the moment, but don't worry! After a few years of saying we have plans, we'll bring that character back for a brief cameo, but with completely butchered personality and history! YOU'LL LOVE THAT!!"
At least they didn't mention Cass Cain and Stephanie Brown together. That means Cass has a bigger chance of appearing in Batman Inc. As for "big plans", everyone should take it to mean "as of right now" because plans change every single day. Characters who were meant to die are saved, and vice-versa. Characters who were throw aways develop and audience and characters being pushed to the stars get a cold reception. Everything is in a state of flux until the book is sent to the printers. Even then in can be pulled (Superman 712).
I was at this panel in person! But yeah, I must say, the only things that sounded believable and exciting really was what they said they had planned for Snyder's Batman and Manapul's The Flash. Most of it was flaky PR talk
What do you guys think when DC says they have no plans for a character? (Wally West, Donna Troy, Ted Kord, Stephanie Brown). Does everything they say really mean "we don't care about the characters"?
Its just DC being DC people so blindly followed DC into the New 52 that they didn't think about all the interesting character being scrapped just my opinion.
Animals sense weakness, sharks smell blood in water
Ishmael, Moses and Job, knew the divine order.
Yeah DC people care more about their NEW 52 ideas and timeline, than they do of their most interesting characters that they left out.![]()
Nothing to new. apparently Bruce thinks somthing else with dick's tooth. That's all the important news I got out of this panel
Yeah like cramming all the books with everyone's favorite characters wouldn't be a clusterf**k. Books weren't crammed to the gills with characters before the relaunch. It shouldn't be crammed after it either. I think they actually know about the characters they left out. That's what replacement titles are for and new storylines.
I'll have to run outside to check if the sky isn't falling the day DC has a panel where they actually answer the questions asked.
