Well, here's my stance, for as little as it is worth: I've been looking at comixology for months now. I had gotten many free comics, but I had never bought one. When I got my new ipad (my first tab), I bought Batman Adventures #12 because it was a comic I had been wanting, it was $0.99, and the print version is $25-40. I was so impressed with the experience, since then (and we are talking less then two weeks), I have bought upwards of, if not over, 100 issues, all at $0.99. I have debated $1.99, but only for things that would cost many times that in print (i.e. Gotham Girls, which is $1.99 on Comixology and $10 or so an issue in print), but, thus far, have held fast. $0.99 SHOULD be the price of all digital comics, but, as stated in the post, there are enough people willing to pay full cover price for a digital product, that that is unlikely to happen. I'm appalled when I have to pay full cover price for a PRINT comic. It is never going to happen for a digital one. On a side note, there are comics on comixology ABOVE cover price. Red Sonja 50 from Dynamite has a cover price of $4.99 but is $7.99 on comixology. I don't know if this is a mistake or they are simply insane.
Edit: Well, now, looking at it on the PC, it is just showing up as $2.99, but I KNOW it was $7.99 on the ipad. That was kind of hard to miss or forget. Well, at least that very likely means it WAS just a mistake, which is a very good thing.

David Lloyd's "Kickback" isn't new, it was released as a hardcover graphic novel by Dark Horse in 2006. It is a great read and I hope it does well, especially since Llyod is cutting out the middleman and releasing it on its own app rather than through a third party.
I think the majority of digital comics should have a price point equivalent to what comics used to cost in the spinner-rack era. $0.65 - 0.70 cents in the early/mid 1980s (when I remember buying comics off the rack at Walden Books and 7-11), is about $1.50 today. That sounds appropriate. You want them to be affordable enough to where folks are willing to actually buy a few issues without struggling over the price.
