    Nice pieces Middenway.

Something that does seem significant (both as somehow really pleasing to me) is how "Vril" both as the secret "Vril Society" and everything about it, even the Nazi stuff and all the dark or whacky second race cootiness, would not be thought up or initiated by comics creators or stories, but all such would be corresponding with actual fact. So it would relate to both the fantastical as well as the real life stuff.

Just like "Hyperborean" or many secret societies and such, as having thrived during the Victorian Age, as by real, most academic and self-serious scientists or enthusiasts as with having means both as time to spare.
I like how such factually accurate, both as potentially insane if not deluded notions, are made to shine in the Mignola world. Like in Hellboy's world not only religious or political or science types may prove or seem insane, or not necessarily rationally sound all that much. But everybody or all sorts would.
Which seems powerful to me, because or since most of it would actually correspond with history and real life rather perfectly.

Like Hellboy and the BPRD don't merely feature heroic or supernatural stuff, not merely *good vs bad* thematically, but all such gets presented in such a threedimensional both as fully realistical way. As bringing the fantastical or the adventurous constantly together with also the creative both as with containing real life connotations profoundly and constantly.

That will be unique, it seems to me.

Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet

Yeah, the whole Memnan Saa storyline in the Plague of Frogs cycle really had a lot of that uncertainty. I like that. There's so much going on in this series to get excited about.
