Oh dear...that artwork...sigh. If that want to use Liefeld that's fine but they need an artist that can take his breakdowns into fully detailed artwork and not the sketchy ill-defined images we see here. (waits for "but all Liefeld's work is sketchy and ill-defined).

I think Youngblood has always had a lot of unrealized potential but all the starts, stops, breaks, starts, delays, reboot, almost reboot, delay, etc. has prevented it (and a creative team) from realizing that potential.

The pages they've released for preview images haven't really been the strongest. I'm guessing they just didn't want to give away too much meat. Issue 71 will be great, and Jon and I both would probably agree that you'll see us flexing our muscles more in the coming issues.

I like the art but find it funny people assume that's Rob's pencil work. Very nice though. Good job Jon!

What approach is being taken on the art exactly in terms of Liefeld and Malin both working on it? Is Rob doing layouts or are they splitting pages?
I only asking because some of the art initially shown in the Extreme preview book looked distinctly more Liefeld-esque than other parts, such as the pages shown here.

I don't know for sure, but I don't THINK Rob was doing layouts. I know he drew a few of the pages in this issue with Yackey doing the colors, but that's just a one-time deal as Jon and I take over exclusively with issue 72. Maybe that's what you saw in the preview?

Well, not all the comics launched could be interesting; this Liefeld-esque artwork just doesnt do it for me. I'll stick with Prophet and perhaps will keep up with Glory if the third issue delivers as the previous did.

Pretty sure that's a page that Rob drew because I don't remember seeing it and I'm pretty sure I at least saw all of Jon's pages.

I totally understand. Everyone has they're own tastes on the type of art they like. Hopefully we can change your mind at some point. ;)
